I prefer developer designers start developing classic to become High resolution graphics will be awesome and close to reality … old vanilla was ugly.
You’re literally a blood elf paladin, lad. You have no taste whatsoever.
…really, Mergons?
WoW’s never been close to reality and that’s perfectly fine, I always liked WoW’s aesthetic. In any case there’s already proof of graphical upgrades with what is apparently an option for Classic visuals if the demo is any indica-

I agree 100% with the OP. The weather system used to be much better however! I think if they just allow us an option to toggle the DX12 + High Res Modeling on or Legacy graphics would be a win-win. They did it in WoD, although it wasn’t perfect, it was still great to choose! I’m obsessed with the classic game play, but I’m even more obsessed with high quality graphics!
Quoting one of the times when I 110% agree with Ironsides… Does not happen often, but it does happen.
Can’t say I don’t enjoy arguing with ya my friend; you always put up a good fight and I like it.
Everyone should be forced to stick with the graphics that Vanilla had, as an accurate portrayal of Vanilla, which Blizzard has said is their intentions… Having higher graphics… LITERALLY makes Classic not look like Vanilla.
Vanilla looked great, and Classic looks beautiful. And what is with using the term ‘old’ graphics? The appropriate word is authentic, not old. And if you want BfA graphics, play BfA. Just like any other game feature.
But yet again the OP uses an alt character with 0 posts to make a thread that’s been made a thousand times already before. Very low effort troll.
Again, a toggle option would make the most sense. Everyone is happy that way.
Updated graphics will attract newcomers, which Classic will need. The “#nochange” community is quite small in comparison to potential subs.
There is a button labeled Classic in the video options. Clicking it changes the settings to what was presumably in classic. Tested it a little bit ago, noticed a change in the trees around me, but really didn’t notice a huge difference on my character.
So you play BfA and its ugly updated graphics and animations.
So classic is going back to “vintage” quality and character models? It’s not that big of deal to me but I do like some if the newer graphics.
The cartoony style is an important part of Warcraft, as far as I’m concerned. I remember when I first saw the opening cinematic in Vanilla and thought that it would be great if the game could look like that one day. That is outside of the scope of this recreation and that is fine, but maybe one day…
While a lot higher fidelity it still keeps the art style, but that is for another time, a time that may never come.
So is classic newer graphics or is it like vanilla?
#NOCHANGES
A little bit of both. Shinier water, grass, shadows and support for higher resolutions, but mostly Vanilla.
to be honest id liek the bfa graphics but classic wows gameplay.
Vanilla had a very defined aesthetic. I read about the original art team’s conceptions on color, style, and theme. Seeing that again in it’s virgin form is something I’m looking forward to.
Other expansions, despite being magnificent with its art and graphics, hasn’t really captured that same, consistent feel. Outland was a neon explosion; Wrath was bland and faded; Cataclysm was a cataclysm to look at, so on.
What does that even mean. You can’t have a subjective opinion on the amount of pixels something has. The more pixel, the higher the resolution, the better the game looks.
Yes, hit me with some snarky comment or try to actually argue. It’s 2019 for God’s sake.
While I think it does visually look better, I really dont like that all the faces look the same on the new models with the only really noticable differance being eye color. That and the new male undead casting animations suck compared to the old ones.
