Well, as of servers coming back up, my Gatherer addon is not working, when enabled it shows the map completely zoomed out, I can only zoom in to see the entire continent I’m on. Uninstalled it, map works just fine, reinstalled and right back to not working

Banning the LFG addon is ridiculous. Banning the Gatherer addon would be even more ridiculous.
I shouldn’t expect much from the company that has turned into “You think you do, but you don’t” or “Don’t you guys have phones?”
There was nothing about Gatherer that was ‘automated’. It’s just a map overlay of known node locations. I used it constantly in my vanilla days.
I was going to try it tonight, along with a few others I haven’t used in about 8 years or so.

Sounds similar to an addon that ESO had called HarvestMap except the ESO addon required you to upload your file every so often to a website that would gather everyone’s information together and then create updated files for you with all player locations.
Edit: It appears the addon is more automatic with it’s updates now, but same idea - it merges the information of all players using the addon to show you a map of nodes. Players would use it to map out gathering routes and things. It even had a feature that created an optimal route based on a few criteria you chose and you just followed the arrow. Was probably a bit too easy…

why did you scapegoat gatherer like that? lol. i mean, i can see you’re upset about no LFGaddon, while personally i don’t endorse it i can see why you’d be pressed that it is outlawed. but of all things, why gatherer lol
I am not upset. I am making a point. People crying about this addon that they do not need to use. Blizz breaks it, while breaking a lot of other addons that use the same types of scripts.
Gatherer is fine. Always was always will. I do wish more people would just use a world channel for LFG
Regardless of what people claim falsely it is not banned. It still works. It just doesn’t do everything that it planned to do.
