I have seen no videos of cath, and I did search last night. I did see them do armory and the amount of effort/time per boss and them dying did match up to videos from vanilla in armory.
dunno, leveling in 1.12 was easier imo when compared to launch.
It was a whole different game at that point. I remember actually making alts around that time because it wasn’t soooo tedious.
And the ORIGINAL wow alpha and beta were a different game also. Don’t give me that as an excuse. Because WHY ELSE would they have done that? Clearly for people to make more then 2-3 characters.

Nah, the game isn’t gonna be as hard as you remember (if you have a guild/friends/experience with the game)
1.) We are all 10-15 years more experienced with this game, we know how threat works, we know how mob pulling works, we know how CC works, we know how to optimze our gear. Back in vanilla people lacked all that experienced, and where just flat out not as good at gaming as we are now.
2.) They all have been farming for days at level 30, which means that they all have better gear than they would have for a normal player at level 30. Asmongold and other streamers got their WW axe in a few hours (mainly due to the fact that they have 20-30 minions(viewers) on demand to help them with anything they need help with). It took me literally 7-8 levels before I got that axe back in the day. Also, streamers are basically just given gold from other players(their viewers), Asmongold and other are consistently in the AH buying upgrades.
3.) They have voice chat now and can coordinate and talk much faster and more efficiently then back in the day.
4.) We have a large number of tools to help us with anything and everything we need. Youtube, wowhead, icyveins, addons, mr robot, and other gear itemization and location help, etc. All of these are much much much better than they where back in vanilla.
Your argument is invalid. This game will still be tough for the average player and a lot tougher than BFA (Mainly because there isn’t different level difficulties for content to spread different skilled players out, everyone has to do the same level content no matter what their skill level is), but don’t expect it to be as hard as it was back in the day.
I don’t think they even can zone into cathedral? I THINK armory was the highest.
Cathedral might be tough, but only because it would render casters useless due to resist. But I think armory mobs were already 37. But do think it’s still possible.
I’m already lol’ing. 1.12 is 1.12. I power gamed Vanilla. Ididn’t do a whole lot of low level dungeons, so I’m not really qualified to speak on what is accuate or authentic. But it sure is dumb - authentic or not.
My point was, that i wasn’t understanding something, I was going by what I was seeing. Blue post said they were using 1.12 while my client said 1.13.

And for the record you are delusional in your OPINION that the numbers are wrong when they are using the literal 1.12 framework for classic. How much time did you spend in 1.12 in SM? Do you even remember? I doubt it. Did you do SM in essentially bis gear w/ a full team on comms and still struggle? Did you also have over a decade experience in wow back then? I can keep going but hopefully you can comprehend my point.

In your opinion the videos that showed the accuracy of classic to your brain showed you something is wrong.
Not one of you has to date come up w/ any tangible evidence that the numbers aren’t correct.
When blizzard is using the original 1.12 framework and we can see the numbers matching up well within an acceptable margin of error, the onus is on you to provide enough evidence to merit an investigation. Not simply ‘muh feels’

The first two sets of video were what I was going off of. Level appropriate cat getting hit for 400 and some damage, while Asmondgold, 10 levels below level appropriate was getting hit for 200 and some. Plus his group taking on a whole other group at the same time. If I saw wrong, then I am so so sorry. I’ll go watch it again just to make sure I saw what I saw.
A 10 lvl lower tank in full good gear vs. a scrub cat in feral w/ no defensive’s…
