Classic is more rosy than nostalgia glasses could ever be!

“Nostalgia makes the past look rosy”
I’ve decided that I don’t believe in this phrase any more.

I thought nostalgia made the past feel rosy yet playing actual Classic it feels rosier than the most rosy nostalgia-glasses.

I guess we have a unique situation in WoW where we can go back to a more-or-less similar representation of how it used to be. Yes, it’s not exactly the same but for my money it’s more similar than I could have asked for.

Obviously in real life we cannot do this so no-one’s actually been able to prove the above saying wrong. I’m so glad that with WoW we kind of can.

Go Classic!

Until you drop 5 grand on a video game you VAGUELY remember from your early childhood days and realize you hate it LUL

Wait, 5 Grand? What is this, Star Citizen?

I don’t get it.

You know: mint-condition, unopened box of the E.T. game. There was a game so old and so obscure that it sold at most for $41k. The box alone sold for roughly $10k.

…I still have my copy of ET for the Atari 2800, and in fact my Atari 2800… I don’t have a TV that’s compatible it anymore, but still.

I actually liked playing ET, once I read the instruction book and figured out what I was supposed to do.

So… Rosy is as rosy does? I’m a bit confused.

Okay… so you’re saying it’s more or less rosy… right?

So it is rosy because something something real life and a video game… :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Uhh… YEAH!!! GO CLASSIC!!! That’s at least something I can understand!

WTH is a Atari 2800?

oh, I meant 2600 of course. Just remembered the wrong number

yeah that’s the funny thing; ET actually wasnt a horrid game when you figured it out…

Now Superman 64 on the other hand…

I’m $22,000+ into Star Citizen.

Rolling a Mage on Herod because I already get abused by Chris Roberts and can’t afford to level a Warrior first.

Shut up and take my money! I gave away several packages in the original and early backer stages. Lost track of how much I spent to be honest.
