All the forum trolls I am sure are going to talk smack but I do not care. I am a fury warrior and have done BWL since March every week. I currently have 1 item. For someone to raid every week and never get anything because weapons never drop for my guild, because every item that fury warriors use has a drop chance of never, has sapped every ounce of fun from the game. Raiding is fun when you are progressing as a guild as well as personally progression. I have officially cancelled my subscription and look forward to the next game that actually provides a rewarding experience no matter what class or spec you chose.
I can sympathize, weapon drop RNG is a real PITA.
However, TBC fixes most of that.
I donât blame you OP. RNG just plain sucks sometimes.
If youâre not having fun anymore than nothing wrong with moving on.
Good luck in your future endeavors.
and this is why you donât play Wow for loot.
Self inflicted so no sympathy from me.
Cause we play for the fun and challenging content. /s
I think we all want the loot and to be âBISâ, but if you allow it to fully consume your playing experience then it removes everything else in the game. You end up frustrated while raiding, thinking about why an item hasnt dropped, why x person got it over you, why did the tank move the boss costing you precious dps for good parses leading to a loss of getting that sweet weapon⌠As this stacks up, you need to step away and focus on the fun and people you play with.
Perhaps if you stopped playing for the loot and started playing for the muscles you wouldnât break as easily.
I can sympathize a little. I have somewhat decent gear at this point, but Iâve had zero luck whatsoever in obtaining decent weapons. I am still running around with Rend MH and Thrash Blade. At this point Iâd be willing to go daggers, swordsâŚwhateverâŚI just want to upgrade my weapons lol.
Good luck fellow traveler.
gotta seed those raids bro
i find it hard to believe that you only got 1 item. while this can be possible, it means your guild doesnt have a very good loot system. ive been unlucky too with weapons, yes, it can take a long time to get highly contested items.
Now imagine being a hunter. While AQ40 has some gear that is useful for us, we have no meaningful upgrades til Naxx. And even then, our biggest upgrades are stat sticks (ex: Kingsfall) that will go to other classes first.
Fury warriors have a lot of gearing options. I find it hard to believe that nothing you wanted has dropped from BWL in 9 months. Perhaps youâre being too picky?
Just get rank 14. You wonât have to worry about RNG on weapon drops until KT.
My guild has gotten one Chromatically Tempered Sword since BWL came out. Zero Thunderfuries in a year of MC.
Oof⌠could farm AV for Lobotomizer. At least itâs guaranteed. AQ20 dagger is good too. Or if you have some gold Iâd try a GDKP so you can just win a weapon drop outright rather than roll on it.
I just finally upgraded from my Krol Blade that I got while leveling at the start, but not with a sword or dagger⌠got the Claw of the Black Drake off Firemaw. Itâs solid but swords and daggers both look so much cooler. Maladath is easily BiS transmog weapon, and the fact that itâs also just BiS? GIMME!
i feel the same way. ive ran bwl like at least 5 times and have only seen the rejuvenating gem drop once, and it was given to a priest
Trinkets may be worse than weapons. I would not be surprised if Iâm using that one from Hinterlands quests for the whole game. Thereâs just too much competition for trinkets that drop rarely anyway like Drake Fang Talisman and Jom Gabbar for me to expect to get one.
What loot system does your guild use?
i totally get playing without loot in mind is gonna save your sanity but in defense of OP its still disheartening to get shafted on certain items, if not for yourself but for other people in your raid. weâve seen a grand total of 1 CTS and didnt see a perditions blade until near the end of BWL. real kick in the balls to see shimmering geta and taut hide for the 15th time in a row
Loot is pretty much the only motivator to raid, especially as a warrior. Iâm always astonished to see how many benevolent souls there are raiding uniquely to get other people geared and not themselves.
For starters, if we could Raid solo, thereâd be no need for Team Play. Seeing as how Team Play is rather more vital than the Gear itself, thereâs no room to be selfish. Itâs no longer about the individual, but whatâs best for the Team. If itâs more important that Person A gets Z instead of Person B, then Iâd rather do that. Instead of hurting the Team, just because Person B hasnât gotten Gear. Even though, itâs irrelevant 'cause Person B is still playing their part/role. Just like that old saying âthereâs no âiâ in âteamâ.â
