Classic+ gear scaling

To avoid overscaling gear, raids should have a hit penalty after naxx so you need over hitcap to hit the mobs via debuff

Or

Raise the level of the mobs in the raid so you require more defense, hit, crit to deal the same damage.

I vote the latter

I actually like that idea.

Only mildly on topic but I think half percents need to be available on gear. Pre-BIS gear needs to be nerfed so MC gear actually has a purpose outside of a handful of items. Some of the 1.10 patch catch up gear is straight up MC gear with blue names. Just migrate those items directly to MC imo.

I’d say buff MC gear, but we already have too much item budget overload in the later tiers.

One huge issue with Vanilla to TBC gearing (not that I’m saying we’ll get that again) is Naxx gear being able to carry you directly into phase 1 BIS.

So, you’d want gear with 1.5% hit?

Honestly I would just have a heroic versions of the raids as an option as I can only see players in classic plus happy if they had some kind of power increase. The only power increase I can think of would be: new bis gear, shamans and paladins for both factions, or talent reforms like using tbc talents which would make meme specs valid.

I am not sure I hope that if there is a raid after naxx, it will be more of a skill check than a gear check, but with new gear hopefully something cool like uncurropted ashbringer.

Rift had amazing gear scaling in newer content because of the hit requirements going up as the content went out.

Interesting way of providing your personal wishlist.

The same thing happened to me once and I could not believe it.

Just don’t add more power creep gear that is stronger than AQ40 or Naxx in the first place.

There, done. Problem solved. Horizontal content. What a concept!

so … the Sunwell Plateau treatment.

Icecrown Plateau?

Or just go back to resistance req gear for nearly every fight means a big chunk of the item budget is eaten by +Resist.

Each set comes with 2 +resist stats per slot keeping the core stats mirrored to MC / BWL raid tier output stats.

AQ40 has NR and FrR now swapping out some of the output stats bringing it inline with BWL.

Naxx has The same treatment as AQ changes, with FrR and say for example the next raid req Arcane resistance, that would be the other resist stat, this wou I d require the output stats naturally nerfed down to BWL levels.

All new following raid tiers would have output stats similar to MC / BWL, and gross item levels on any item will never exceed BWL.

Tank defence stats are classed to output stats to avoid inflation problems.

AQ, Naxx and R14 weaponry is nerfed down to MC / BWL levels.

A new range of AV quality weapons added for various classes and builds, items comparable to TuF & Lobo, but for other builds and classes.

Per-Nerf versions of all OG 60 dungeons, with improved loot and weapons more appropriate to pre-raid.

Last, several new raids wil mirror the ZG / AQ20 bracket for gear and weapons.

Only if it’s crafted or from a vender in exchange for mats and not a drop, maybe make it have an attunement too so people can’t buy it and skip into content

This I dislike, because nerfing items is never fun. Instead make them not as good by increasing hit requirements in the next tier but around the same weapon dmg.

No. That’s just TBC lite.

If anything, there needs to be more faction divergence. Should they ever add more classes, they need to be faction specific. As for example the non-hero alpha wow version of the DK for horde, and a Monk/Demon Hunter for alliance (i.e. the night elf DH on the box of vanilla)

i don’t think thats gonna be a popular idea.

Racials, Sham/Paladin are bad enough

Sounds like you don’t enjoy core concepts of vanilla then.

I also argue racials need to be stronger, in some cases.

Yes, buff wisp form another 20% MSpeed while dead.

You know I initially thought that sharing those classes between factions would be cool and interesting, but you’re right. I did always enjoy the faction specific things and doubling down on it would probably be more fun for me

It’s not a core concept
