I’m not talking about Blizz servers, pservers have a much larger raiding community and do not allow GDKP. Many believe this is the reason Blizz made this decision.
Private servers sell the gear straight for $. They either straight up sell mounts, gear or they have “donation” gear that is insanely overpowered like more than legendaries maybe not all of them but its definitely happening and its been on some of the biggest ones.
Post the data that there’s vanilla servers without gdkps doing better than era rn

That would get me banned I’m pretty sure, but finding it is not hard lol. Its the same pserver that has been around forever and there are zero GDKP’s.
In fact anyone that played Nost, or any other pserver that lead to Classic WoW’s inception, will tell you GDKP was not a thing on any of those servers. It was brought to Vanilla by the modern “gib me pixel for swipe” gamer.
So you’re too busy to play an MMO. Your lifestyle doesn’t entitle you to a situation where you ruin the game for everyone else.
There are a massive amount of games where RMT and p2w is acceptable (including era sadly.)
Check those out. No need to ruin classic for us because you don’t like mmo’s.

If you take gdkp raids out of the equation in any current classic servers, what do you have?
Vanilla 04-05-06 where guilds raided for the sake of downing bosses for loot, the experience and the social aspect of it.
Not because ‘I need to get my cut of gold or I’m not raiding’.
GDKP is full of RMT cheaters. I know it. You know it. Blizzard knows it. The handful of sock puppets here on the forums crying their eyes out about not being able to cheat in fresh is incredible.

Blizzard acts off of money only. Blizzard tried to be the gold seller for GDKP whales in Wrath and it didn’t work, so now they are trying something else.

GDKPs made healing bearable. You NEED gold in this game because believe it or not consumables cost gold. Reasonable ways of making gold for a healer is very limited especially on a pvp server.
I am not healing randies for free and i am not spending 10 hours daily on DM jumps when i could have earned more gold by doing what i actually play this game for - raiding.
