I think the real truth lies behind dragging us along as long as possible. They know we want unchanged forever Era servers for Vanilla TBC and Wrath, they’re not dumb.

This is what needs to happen: Have our existing forever Era Vanilla servers unchanged and the servers consisting of 1 of each PvP, PvE, RPPVP, and RPPVE.

Have a forever unchanged TBC Classic Era servers unchanged and the servers consisting of 1 of each PvP, PvE, RPPVP, and RPPVE.

Have a forever unchanged WOTLK Classic Era servers unchanged and the servers consisting of 1 of each PvP, PvE, RPPVP, and RPPVE.

After the final version “wrath” has gone through it’s timespan start a new fresh server starting in Vanilla that lasts 1-1/2 years that progresses through to TBC that lasts 1-1/2 years and finally Wrath that also lasts 1-1/2 years all of which being in an UNCHANGED state and being able to copy your character to the corresponding Era server that already exists on Era once that fresh server that is currently going through the 3 trilogies again ends.

They do this and they will have a forever playerbase.

Im pretty sure in the age of seasonal games it makes the most sense for them constantly be releasing stuff. Expansion packs are great for that.

I think getting Classic era is all we are going to get.

Also they have jobs. For us to say not to do anything and release forever servers and walk away. They probably get defensive about. Its there job.

I work in a subscription based business and thats exactly how it works for us.
The constant reoccurring service is the money maker. Definitely not one product and you never see us again.

Let’s be real, Blizzard doesn’t care nor do they listen to customers. If you want TBC and WotLK servers, that’s what private servers are for. The demand is clearly there, Blizzard just doesn’t care.

Another half brained take. Food expires and costs money to restock. Development on Era is done and it requires very little maintenance. Not a valid comparison.

They either need to do an era server for each of the first three expansions or sell the license for third parties to do it.

blizzard doesn’t like people having a permanent home on any server. they begrudgingly allow it for vanilla because that’s the game that started it all. but they won’t do it again

They change their menu based on availability and affordability of ingredients. So no, it’s pretty much the opposite of what you just said.

makes sense for sod/cata/mop but honestly not HC. Blizz messed up era servers when they forked the HC community to their own safe space. ERA servers before that were very vibrant offering an alternative end-game for people that couldnt raid or love GDKPs.

Now its too separated. Feels too much like retail.
