The carelessly timed release of wow classic fresh has decimated the population on the Mankrik cluster. Most horde guilds have disbanded, fragmented or stopped raiding due to low numbers. The alliance had a bigger population but is going through a similar upheaval.
You released too many variants of WoW Classic all at the same time. it was foolish.
What is your plan, Blizzard, to protect WoW Classic Era?
Of course they disbanded and the server is dying. FRESH is always better than whatever era is.
Era’s economy was completely destroyed by GDKPs.
era is fine. People forgot they raided with 4 raid teams total before people came back.
Give it some time; this isn’t the first time players have left and then returned months later almost like clockwork.
Era has had its ups and downs, but it always slowly grows. Enjoy Era in all is phases of play because when population is lower its opportunity to level new characters and farm to sell next cycle.

Honestly, each version has players. Era is permanent, the others are seasons. When the seasons end people return to era. I’ll be there waiting.

If Level 60 WoW was the most popular version (it isnt) then the Era servers wouldnt be the ghost towns that they are. Because nobody would be playing SoD, Hardcore, Anniversary Fresh, or even Cataclysm when they could be playing the most popular version.
Classic era and fresh are actually two very different takes on the same game so that doesn’t work too well tbh
There’s tons of ppl who favor classic but won’t play unless it’s fresh, because there are a lot of different elements to fresh that don’t exist on era. Not knocking era, it’s just two different scenes
there’s lots of people who play both, so when fresh comes out, era’s population naturally declines
Right I know that, but there’s like 200k ppl playing this. Most of those people were not on era before launch
Have said this today in other threads and curious who else here feels the same but as of today I’m going back to classic era for good and quitting the anniversary servers , was VERY excited for fresh when it was announced but given we have no confirmation that we’ll be able to keep these fresh characters on classic era servers via clones / transfer when TBC launches and also given that we don’t know if there will be TBC era servers , I don’t want to waste my time again if I’m just going to end up in cataclysm a second time … no communication from blizzard about this has been really lame and just killed my interest in fresh completely

With all due respect, I am so sick of posts like this. You want things your way and have no regard for how other players game.
It works like this, all version of wow are trash now except when they launch a fresh server. Guilds turn into toxic no lifers and try hards the longer they remain a guild. The economy tanks because tons of players post things for either 1000% markup or for vendor price. The longer a server stays up the more toxic the player base becomes.
This isn’t my opinion, it’s simple psychology. So the option is either play on the fresh servers and enjoy the nostalgia or go play hello kitty island adventures. Stop trying to force your gameplay on the rest of us. That BS is what ruined retail.
All the try hard toxic gamers go to the shiny new ball. They all went sod and now fresh.
Era is more chill since fresh launched. Fresh has all the try hard, no lifer, gatekeepers now
