Since the last major patch Seal of command just felt like its not quite giving up as much yield as it should so I tested it.
Over 3220 Auto attacks I was given 1225 command procs.
Early Vanilla used a 6PPM proc rate but had a 100% damage value, and if the Command PPM stayed at 6 then the 100% modifier would be acceptable.
Paladin update Changed things slightly with giving us a 7PPM proc rate but 70% damage value as compensation for the difference in procs to make the game “Feel” better
Presently we are getting 6PPM
Because paladin has no special attacks in Classic Era this is very easy to test, simply take the number of auto swings by the number of proc’s and then factor weapon speed by time over 60 sec to get the PPM value as demonstrated below.
I am using a 3.8 speed weapon and over 60 sec, I get 15.7894737 weapon swings per minute, but to be more accurate this needs to be tested over a much greater time than 60 sec since there is not a 0.7894737 weapon swing.
Over 3220 attacks 1225 procs = 0.38043478 chance to proc.
15.7894737 Weapon swings X 0.38043478 proc rate = 6.00686495 Procs per Min.
According to “Vanilla” patch information we should be getting 7 PPM, and it certainly did feel that way in previous patches of Classic such as earlier Classic Era, Classic SoM and such, but now I am only getting 6PPM somehow I just noticed it because it just felt “off”.
