Classic Era Alliance West?

it’s been awhile but what are the west coast servers that alliance are on currently?

the site i used a long time ago sadly is showing data for wotlk so im getting inaccuracies, unless there’s another site that gives only classic era data.

In Classic Era
PVE West servers: Atiesh, Azuresong, Myzrael, and Old Blanchy
PVP West servers: Anathema, Arcanite Reaper, Bigglesworth, Blaumeux, Fairbanks, Kurinnaxx, Rattlegore, Smolderweb, Thunderfury, and Whitemane

All servers of each type are linked so you are playing with all of them in the cluster so in essence it doesn’t matter which server once you’ve determined if you do or do not want PVP.
I left out Grobbulus (RP PVP West) but they are not linked to any other server in Era.

interesting.

so if say i decided to play on whitemate which was a heavily horde server, the population would balance out basically?

Pop on ally and horde whitemane are there. Not sure which side has more.

whitemane is on life support even after the small pop in players. dont let anyone here convince you of otherwise.

Whitemane cluster has a pop like vanilla wow. Its good, just not mega server size.

not being a mega server =/= life support

that said, i think mankrik has a higher population, at least alliance-wise. so if you don’t mind giving up PvP and want more players, do mankrik.

mankrik is USEast but it’s worth it. don’t let a 3 hour time difference bother you

Hey Clavitz

If you want the West timezone and a PVP server then any of the realms in the Whitemane cluster should be fine. They are all linked so even if Whitemane itself is primarily Horde some of the others may not. You will see people in Stormwind and elsewhere with “their character name - server name” in the chat so you can group, trade or join a guild with anyone on all of the cluster’s servers.

Anathema, Arcanite Reaper, Bigglesworth, Blaumeux, Fairbanks, Kurinnaxx, Rattlegore, Smolderweb, Thunderfury, and Whitemane will all be together as Alliance (or Horde) wherever you are on the server. If you are looking for a specific name for a new character, try all the cluster’s servers and you may be able to get it even if a “common” or popular name. When the clone service was cancelled apparently a lot of great names became available. Best of luck to you!

that’s cool I did not know the servers were clustered in that way

so you can group with ppl on other servers, but you just don’t see them in game?

From the support article here:

Connected Realms are a set of two or more realms that have been permanently and seamlessly “linked.” When you play on a Connected Realm:

  • The Auction House is shared between your realm and the realms connected to it
  • You can join a guild created on the realm connected to yours
  • You can trade and exchange mail with players on the realm connected to yours
  • You can party for [Mythic - retail/live only] dungeons and [Mythic - retail/live only] raids with players on the realm connected to yours

[my addition for clarity since the article addresses both retail and Classic as you can party to do dungeons and raids with players on connected realms in Classic]

And the complete breakdown for Classic Era connected realms:

  • Anathema, Arcanite Reaper, Bigglesworth, Blaumeux, Fairbanks, Kurinnaxx, Rattlegore, Smolderweb, Thunderfury, and Whitemane [PVP West]
  • Arugal, Felstriker, and Yojamba [OCE]
  • Ashkandi, Mankrik, Pagle, Westfall, and Windseeker [PVE East]
  • Atiesh, Azuresong, Myzrael, and Old Blanchy [PVE West]
  • Benediction, Faerlina, Heartseeker, Incendius, and Netherwind [PVP East]
  • Earthfury, Herod, Kirtonos, Kromcrush, Skeram, Stalagg, Sulfuras, and Thalnos [PVP East]

None of the roleplaying realms (PVE or PVP) are currently connected.

tyvm!

I saw four open WSGs just now in the Whitemane cluster!

Things are moving in the right direction!
