Classic Dungeons broken due to scaling, too hard

I am leveling a resto shaman, and had to give up during a maraudon purple run earlier today.

The bosses had way too much hp, and were hitting the tank too hard.

When Lord Vyletongue attacked him (with the two stealth adds), he was basically 1-shot before I had time to react.

This was already after a wipe on Tinkerer Gizlock. We shouldn’t be wiping on these dungeons- they are for leveling and we were following the mechanics (barely any at all).

Earlier I’ve run an RFK, and while successful, the run was very painful and slow.

Idk. Running a classic dungeon is legitimately harder than a Mythic 0 right now.

Part of me thinks they cranked the dial all the way to “Maximum Evil”, like they just don’t care anymore.

Will do, was wondering if other xpacs were broken as well.

BFA Dungeons are almost tuned like in the past meaning you have to make a lot of mistakes to die. Mobs are meaty tho and take some time to kill.

Bosses take about a minute and you can’t just skip mechanics completely.
Trash can be pulled as 1-3 groups combined without going into panic mode. More can turn deadly tho. They do hit appropriately hard to not just be fluff.

BC as suggested mobs have very little HP compared but they are monsters.
They are overloaded with cc and like to perma stun the tank. So be careful how much you pull. If you go at regular speed BC should not have any one shots.

Personally WOD seems to be scaled fine too.

Classic and WOTLK felt the worst.

If it’s a level 10-15 tank…I usually leave right away.

I don’t know why–but those poor tanks get one shot by every single mob every pull. :frowning:

The issue stems from them not having access to certain abilities due to their level or not having enough talent points to really get into the better stuff for their respective roles (largely applies to tanks and healers)

I always level with BC dungeons. I May quest in a different expansion but dungeon que BC.

Maybe the tank shouldn’t pull as much, then? Perhaps the DPS could use some of their CC to allow for less to be pulled. Good tanks know how much to pull based upon the DPS’ ability to kill, and healer’s ability to heal, and that you don’t often need to kill everything. Methinks all instances should be like these, or the Cataclysm ones whereby the group needed to work together to complete it, while using their entire toolkits, but this will neve happen simply because there’s a ME in team.

The fact that not one, but two classic dungeons I did were like this, I just think the scaling is goofy.

Just did a full clear of BRD with a lvl 20 Prot Warrior.

How much CC was used?

I want you to experience that boss specifically because the mechanics will likely kill your party lol, it’s bugged.

Not ALL classic dungeons are broken (I assume), I did RFC just fine. It still felt overtuned though. I also did an SM Cath, with no issues.

RFK 3rd boss is straight busted, hard.

Some dungeons, I think the classic ones that were redone in Cata specifically, with improved mechanics, are broken.

what? I had a level 10 tank in WoD that was cleaning house yesterday. I’ve never seen so many mobs pulled at once and just destroyed. He did more damage alone than the rest of the group and he wasn’t a twink.
