I downloaded the demo & i was disappointed that we aren't seeing 1.11 i kinda hoped for progression & i feel this is already a slippery slope for the game & kills off content. Either way i will play the game and judge it. but lets hope for (progression). the changes in 1.12 & 1.13 were catch up mechanics which is why they added them in a later patch date.
(last time i posted i got perma banned because people reported my post as trolling/spam. please just don't read my post if you disagree what i am saying.) ALSO this is what the demo says maybe its not confirmed what patch, but 1.12 is also not the right choice in my opinion.
Catch up to what ? I didn't raid and neither did the majority of other wow players.
The game cannot be tuned to raiders and only raiders.
You already conquered vanilla. This is a replay. We know everything..nothing new to be discovered. No "firsts" because they've all been done.

My understanding is the Naxx is not in demo distribution. This suggests, tho' is hardly conclusive, that there may be progression in the future.
Here's the thing. This is a new build on the modern client. It is not going to carry an identical patch number to the old builds because it is in fact not the old WoW.
That is no indication of what their plans are for progression or damn near anything else.

Patch 1.13 is the demo
Patch 1.13 is just the Classic client being caught up to the modern client with things like colourblind mode. It doesn't reflect the content we'll have in-game.
That said, Blizzard did say that 1.12 was going to be the foundation for Classic WoW. They also haven't given us much reason to think that they're going to do progression servers(though neither have they said they're not doing it).

Your understanding is warped. The demo is 2 zones. Both of which do not have Naxx.10/31/2018 01:29 PMPosted by Shadowdots10/31/2018 01:17 PMPosted by MelwynI downloaded the demo & i was disappointed that we aren't seeing 1.11 i kinda hoped for progression & i feel this is already a slippery slope for the game & kills off content. The ability to view a zone outside of those 2 zones is possible but Naxx would be spawned as an NPC. Which is server side not client side.
Which means, in all cases, demo or not, Naxx is NEVER in the client.

Blizzard told us in June that we are getting patch 1.12 and you are just now complaining about it in October?
Ok.

[insert reason here] will kill off WoW

These reasons have been voiced since day 1 and yet the game is still here. It's just not how you want it.
1.12 was confirmed to be the baseline for 1.13 months ago.

They made it easier to progress through earlier raids and content to "catch up" to later raid progress...
This has nothing to do with Raiders vrs. casuals.... casuals would want a progression.... it gives them much more time to catch up to the raiders.
Otherwise, it instead is going to trivialize the content for raiders so now they get to be extremely powerful extremely quickly in comparison to casual gamers.

I think 1.13 is just the working version number that the team is working with.

I can only think they wanted the patch with the least amount of bugs to fix.
