Classic client download?

Will Classic WoW require a separate huge client download? How much space?

Separate but significantly smaller download

If you have the Retail client it’ll be relatively light.

It will probably share data with retail the way PTR and beta now do. Possibly a _classic_ subfolder in your main WoW folder?

It does. It’s been confirmed that there’s a _classic_ folder.

So… who else keeps restarting their Battle Net Agent to see if the list of account logins update?

Also… Harry Potter Wizards United just dropped!

Even worse, I check the beta opt in list to see if there is a Classic WoW option.

If there is, tell me privately first :stuck_out_tongue:

The entire client for Pserver play was something like 6GB if memory serves.

Since classic will run off a modern client with vanilla data, I’d expect the vanilla data aspect to be pretty small, but no idea what the baseline client it runs that data off of would be, if you didn’t have retail already present.

“huge” lol its less then 3 gigs, or at least it was back in the day. If Blizzard isn’t replacing anything with higher res models then it should be the same.

Yes but they will have all the cash shop items so plenty of models there.

I’m gonna go with about 7 gig Bob!

It will be significantly smaller that retail client, due to far less zones worth of stuff, lower res textures, oldEr models. But the new client will likely be a bit more robust than the 1.12 version.

I’m going with about 8 gigs.

Hopefully it’s not a shared client. I don’t even want all the BFA garbage on my PC if I’m not using it.

The 1.12.1 pserver client is around 5.8GB so I’d imagine the blizz classic client will be around that or a little higher due to higher rez models being an option.
This is just my opinion.
