Is it intended that the only way to see characters on classic accounts is to resub? I have multiple accounts and you cannot get to the character selection screen like you can in retail which does not let you log in, but you can view your characters if a sub has run out?
I do not believe so. However, if for some reason you really need to be able to tell which accounts have which characters on them, I think you may still be able to.
If you have played WoW on the computer, there should be some saved files with character information in the WoW directory.
C:\<PATH-To-WoW>\World of Warcraft\_classic_\WTF\Account\<MY-ACCOUNT-NAME>\<SERVER-NAME>
Where: <PATH-To-WoW>
is the directory in which you have WoW installed. I have mine in d:\games
for example.
<MY-ACCOUNT-NAME>
is the account you would like to see the characters for. If you have multiple accounts for example, you would have multiple directories, each with the name of their respective accounts at this level.
<SERVER-NAME>
is the server name.
So, for example if I have a character named Hellochar on Faerlina under the account ThisIsNotMyAccount, this could be the path:
d:\games\World of Warcraft\_classic_\WTF\Account\ThisIsNotMyAccount\Faerlina\Hellochar\
At least that way you can see which characters are under which accounts, if that is all you need to do.
