Agree! The Americas have dozens of servers, no crashes or putting servers down. Oceanic have only 4 servers and problems happening regularly since beginning.
Please find this out Blizzard as this service is not good enough. Wasn’t even this bad 15 years ago…ahh but wait that was in the USA (with 200ms -300ms latency).
This is happening on US servers too. I have characters on 2 US servers and I crashed to desktop, logged in and my characters weren’t there anymore. When trying to make a new character it doesnt work but my character comes back and i can enter the game, once loading in it gets to the final part of the loading bar and kicks me back saying that the character doesnt exist.
I have same issue.
Reset router, modem and cleared cache…all same.
Retrieve realm list taking more than 30sec and can see server list, but no count for my character.
Also, black screen when I choose my server and no work at all.
I tried relog and reboot computer several times, but same…
Yup I just tried to make a new character on Thunderfury because the Oceanic servers are all offline and the character creation just times out. Wont accept any character you create.
Same issue here on ‘Atiesh’ PvE US server. Looks like the game fails to connect with the server, so it very slowly retrieves the realms and character list but can’t enter the world.
Past discussions on this issue seem to be that we just have to wait. No relogging/restarting etc resolve it.
Same issue for me, got a shaman on Rattlegore. Sometimes no black screen, but then still can’t login and a message is shown (after loading almost finished): “Character not found”. Also when trying to create a new character I just see a message like “Character creation timed out” after some time.
I tried to create new characters on several other low pop servers but same result.
Deleting cache and such didn’t work either.
Quite annoying really.

I have also got the same problem, with characters on both Remulos and Argual. I’ve tried a full UI Reset and that hasn’t worked.
It seems to be the same issue this time as it was last time.
Oceania servers not showing existing toons, and unable to create any new toons on any server (either Australia based or US based).
Even a full somputer reboot didn’t help.

I was getting the same thing - my screen is blank and doesn’t show my character.

I’ve experienced this. I just adamantly logged in and out over and over until it eventually worked. Lol Downfall was, I had to get stuck back in queue. >:(
I am having the same problem. I log in and UI is up but no character and a black back ground. Sucks I paid for a subscription to play the game and can not log on…
I’m having the same issue. Black background and a message saying “error retrieving character list”. I’m on Pagle.
