I’ve been playing on a private Cata server and it would be a monumental mistake to launch Class Cata without RDF. The game was made with RDF in mind.
Actually, does anyone want Classic Cata without RDF in at launch?
Hopefully, Blizzard and the anti-RDFers don’t ruin another Classic expac.
ummm, this is not the place to talk about “Private” servers you allegedly play on as it is grounds to permanently ban you. That said, I am not playing Classic because RDF isn’t in it. I want the authentic experience and that means both the Dungeon Finder and the Raid Finder. Cata was my FAVOURITE expansion.
Personally don’t care or would even use Raid Finder, but I’m also not gonna be some weird gatekeeper and say it shouldn’t be put in.
It’s wild how many people say they don’t want RDF but like, nothing’s stopping them from not using it if they hate it so much.
Would be funny if they add RDF and people whine again that heroic dungeons are too hard.
Anyway, their goal seems to be pushing M+ in Classic and I kinda find that disgusting way more than not having RDF.
They’re probably gonna have to add RDF just because Cata population will be way smaller.
Even if you had to hand pick every team, it’s still better.
I think it makes sense for leveling content to have it. With them wanting to push H+/M+ content again it doesn’t seem like for endgame it will change much.
But H++ isn’t mythic. We are not pushing keys, and it’s not timed. There’s no additional consequences for failure.
I don’t see the benefit of even limiting it from H+ style dungeons.
Worst case scenario, you have to hand make the group, and you get teleported to the dungeon instead of screwing with the stones and sharding.
With flying it will matter even less to get teleported.
I can already tell you some people won’t be able to do go through the ICC dungeons buffed, they were one of the most failed dungeons in Timewalking and had to get nerf hammered on retail really hard so people could use RDF with it sucessfully.
Couldn’t that just be timewalking jank with all the scaling and stuff retail has now?
I remember RDF’ing Pit of Saron, Halls of Reflection and Forge of Souls back in the day, even tanked them as Warrior in original Wrath. Things were fine, and I was a lot more casual back then, people didn’t have a “solved” game like they do today.
The mechanics will kill you and things can easily go wrong. It’s not really that they’re hard but you can’t make too many mistakes.
because people will flock to what everyone else is using. That’s such a bad argument. Of course people that don’t like it are still going to use it because it’s the only way to form groups.
-“game without RDF” you can see that most people now get full party from ‘guild/friend list’ and open Wormhole.
-“game with RDF” they’ll still invite full party from within ‘guild/friend list’ & queue together to teleport instead of using wormhole / summon stone!
RDF is meant for randoms to find groups, it won’t have any effect on tons of people who already have guilds/friends to run dungeons with.
Yep. which is clearly seen in LFD of retail. I’ve had many runs where at least 3 were all same guild. Me and some other dude were the fill ins.
Now I being nice, would talk in the chat. I’d say stuff like
clearly you 3 dudes have a strat in mind for this run. Tell me and other fill in what it is and we can be on that same sheet of music too.

Imho, people who don’t like something don’t use it, so people against rdf should still have people to lfg. Or they could just make separate rdf-lfg servers idk though cuz I don’t work for blizzard, so it might be more difficult than just adding an extra server.

I still say necrotic week should have been brought over for alpha or beta. Since a maldruxxus inspired affix and maldraxxus was heavily wrath inspired it would have been a perfect fit.

Anti rdfrs dont have any impact at all. They also didnt eant boosts and dual spec. They are not the problem. They also get ignored.
It is an excellent argument. You still have the choice. You cant handle the fact that very few dont want it. Of course ppl right now are FORCED to do it the way they dont want to. Give everyone a choice. And if the majority are not using rdf, it will still match those few that do use it. Its a fact and u still try to make up something that isnt true.
