If we had never had Cataclysm, and it was wiped completely from your memory, and then Blizzard introduced Cataclysm as Classic+ as a brand new game for levels 1-70, most of you would be ecstatic.
WUT! Ecstatically quitting that would be.
If WoW had ever gone from Vanilla to Cata in one feel swoop, the sub numbers would have reached rock bottom very fast. It was only the nudging and habitualization in TBC and Wrath which made us somewhat tolerate the changes in Cata.
Cata plays just like wotlk.
As a classic cata is a better wotlk.
Better raids, dungeons and classes
OP is asking for a direct transition from Vanilla to Cata; no TBC no Wrath.
Would you have accepted this back in 2007 or thereabouts? I would not.
If Cata had never been released and they announced it as a brand new “classic” expansion coming in 2025, you are right, people would be crazy excited.
It was not my favorite expansion, but if we had never played it before, I wouldn’t find that out till 2/3 of the way through
Not as an expansion…but as a new game, Classic+, like folks are asking for.
Do you mean Vanilla stays and Cata is to be another game entirely? Then yes! Emphatically so, because I would have played Cata for a day or two and left in disgust. - and have had a Vanilla to go back to.
Cata made me quit when it first came out.
You think I’d be ecstatic?
Cata was a let-down from Wrath, but would have been a breath of fresh air to vanilla.
Nah. They destroyed Azeroth. That fact alone would be a cause for outrage. One expansion after vanilla and you destroy Azeroth? Lol no. The only way Cata actually doesn’t suck is if it’s the first version of the game we play and we have nothing to compare it to. Even then that would push the launch of WoW to 2010
The hair of your character really represents you… as the clown you are, PPC!
isn’t that the game where they removed talent trees
