Classic /castsequence macro help

I am having trouble getting this macro to reset. Ideally I’d like it to just cast PWS and follow it with a renew, then if necessary keep spamming heal. I have tried with with a reset=3 but I must be doing something wrong. This is for my priest that I have following my mage

#showtooltip!
/castsequence [target=Greenererz]Power Word: Shield(Rank 1), Renew,Lesser Heal(Rank 2)

Cast sequences automatically restart after they reach the end.
Reset=# means reset after the button has not been pressed for # seconds.

Bottom line, they’re trash.

I agree they aren’t ideal, but this is for my multiboxed priest that I want to be able to just spam a button

Then those are the limitations you’ll need to build your macro around ie. repeat the lesser heal a bunch of times and figure out a reset condition that works for your timings.

I understand that part. My problem is the macro is not resetting until I go through it no matter which reset modifier I put in

#showtooltip
/castsequence reset=3 [target=Greenerz]Power Word: Shield(Rank 1), Renew, Lesser Heal(Rank 2) ,Lesser Heal(Rank 2),Lesser Heal(Rank 2)

Because you aren’t understanding what reset does.

It will progress the sequence, stopping at (and repeatedly casting) the last spell, until the reset condition is met. With reset=3, that condition is 3 seconds of not pressing the macro.

#showtooltip
/castsequence reset=3 [@player] Power Word: Shield, Renew, Lesser Heal, Lesser Heal, Lesser Heal, Lesser Heal, Lesser Heal

This will cast PW:S, then Renew, then spamming it will cast Lesser Heal (up to 5 times). When you do nothing for 3 seconds, it will go back to PW:S.

Note that when it goes back to PW:S, if you still have Weakened Soul, you will just be stuck on PW:S, unable to advance the sequence, because you don’t meet the restrictions to successfully cast it, and the sequence will not advance until the spellcast is completed. This is the primary reason why sequences are not recommended.

It’ll reset to the beginning after you cast LH. Sequences repeat, they don’t stop at the last spell indefinitely.

So I just tested and confirmed this.

This is even worse than what I thought cast sequences were.

Edited my earlier post.
