I am not trying to do anything i am simply stating fact’s. whether or not you believe or disbelieve is not my concern.
Then right click and report any and all suspected bot’s. As i have told you previous feedback is not taken here nor are suggestions. Want your feedback seen by someone who has the ear of the dev’s ? Then post in GD because those people do not monitor this forum.
They do though, part of their job when they do ban waves is to break the software as best they can. There are several examples of botting software that was once popular in WoW that no longer works because of this process. In one example they actually took the bot software writers to court and won. However that doesn’t mean that they will be able to get every piece of software or be able to stop it completely. It is a constant process.
I completely agree with you just to be clear. I’ve seen them do great things over the years.
I’m mostly in disbelief how bad botting is. I’d just like to see some of these cheaters get punished for cheating. These botting guilds are still going strong though.
I get the feeling the people replying don’t play classic. I’m on one of the medium-high pop servers and it’s horrible. I can’t imagine how bad it is on a locked server. (Locked is just a description, for whatever reason Blizzard let people continue to make death Knights on any server, starting them at 55)
If only. More people like you will repeat the same things you have.
Speculation is not common sense. You are simply making up numbers and this is the exact opposite of common sense.
Yes, bots are a problem and it’s a constant battle back and forth. Making up numbers to try and…I don’t know your goals, but maybe to try and convince people it’s a serious problem? Everyone knows that it is. Report the bots you see and move on. No one is asking any player to do anything more than report everything you see to Blizzard.
This is accurate. The problem is that you are adding 1 + 1 and trying to say the answer is 1,000.
You do a /who and you see 50 names that you suspect are bots (for the sake of brevity, let’s just say they are bots). That means you see 50 bots. The /who function is limited, for sure, but turning that 50 you see into “I’m guessing 400” is not 1+1=2. You are literally saying 50=400. Then, you are turning that 400 into “thousands and thousands”.
Stick to the facts. Finding 50 bots through a /who is a serious problem, and there’s simply no need to fabricate thousands more.
Correct. You’re beaten to a node by pixels on a screen. You don’t know what’s happening behind those pixels. It’s easy to suspect based on their behavior, and those suspicions need to be reported to Blizzard, but it’s all pixels in a video game.
Wait, you agree that hiring more people doesn’t stop the problem? Then why are you in here with these statements:
At least have some consistency in what you’re trying to say.
I don’t know what exactly you were told, but the answer is always to report and move on. If you can’t use the right-click report feature, then you can e-mail your info to hacks@blizzard.com.
I remember a recent thread where a Blue poster told someone that if they have information about a guild dedicated to botting, then include that information. They didn’t say “go find information about botting guilds for us”. They said if you have knowledge, include it.
Players do not have to have any “proof” or evidence, or appear in a courtroom under oath. Just report them and move on. Quite frankly, it used to be the most important part of that is “report them”, but you are proving why the “move on” part is just as important.
Move on. Stop wasting your time trying to track them.
