Classic Beta tomorrow. Release 27th August

Ah, I see where the disconnect is. If I had been clearer in my wording, I would have said that there was a trend of this behaviour within this thread itself, not the greater tribal unit itself. Thank you for pointing that out to me, I appreciate it.

Alas, love. We shall. Though know that I will still love you forever and always as your loyal Incubus. Ready to serve and please with but a moments notice.

Or people can learn to post their threads in the correct forums to avoid clogging GD up with posts like this one.

Report it if it offends you so much. I think classic news falls under General

Classic threads go to the Classic forums. It’s literally why the Classic forums was made to begin with.

Then report it. Hopefully you can get through this life altering moment

People roleplay in GD all the time instead of Roleplay forum too, calm down grandpa.

Were you one of those people that spent the last 12 years trashing people who wanted Classic?

My sub ends

Beginning May 15, select WoW players will be invited to participate in a small-scale, focused closed beta test. Players will also get a chance to help put our servers and technology through their paces in a series of stress tests running from May through July—you can opt in now through Account Management and select the WoW Classic beta. Subsequent stress tests will extend the opportunity to even more players. Level caps will also be in place to ensure we’re emphasizing the “stress” in “stress test”

I’m not excited about vanilla. I do not want to give up what I’ve earned over the last 15 years. Nor do I want to give up the QoL improvements sincve then.

That being said - I do want vanilla elements back in the game.

  • Removal of PvE seasons.
  • Removal of free catch up gear
  • Removal of TF
  • Deterministic rewards
  • Finite grinds
  • Difficulty being progression not arbitrary “grind” retention systems.
  • etc.

If vanilla does well … Blizzard might get a clue … which seems to be lacking from their current designs.

Idk, Fire Emblem is coming out this year and has a lot of potential, though thats a TRPG.

For just MMORPGs though there hasn’t been competition in a while… so it probably will be in that department.

It does, for some reason though the concept of classic bothers people.

i hope it turns out being everything they hoped for.

How many players does FFXIV have? How many players do you expect the other games on your list to have? How do you quantify biggest?

Pretty sure Classic will have more players at launch than any of them.

1.) They aren’t my lists, they are Google results.

2.) Why are you bringing ffxiv into this? I never mentioned ffxiv…

3.) That’s your opinion to which I am allowed to disagree.

I used to think that way too until I unsubbed and started playing other games. Then I realized all that little stuff you dismissed help realize a world, engross a player in the experience and create a sense of satisfaction upon mastery of the game. Having wow super streamlined and efficient has lead in my opinion, to a detached feeling where the journey is glossed over and adventures become simple chores you do to complete x for y. I think that’s what people mean by the whole rpg not rpg.
I myself am not interested in classic (no space goats and lolret) but I really wish pristine servers were a thing.
