Classic AOE farming question

For all of my fellow mages out there trying to level through aoe farming, how do you deal with people ganking you while trying to pull?

Im playing on skeram, and the H:A ratio is really bad. Like, 30:1 bad. Whenever I try to get a pull, i just get dogpiled on by 3 or more people

Do I just wait a couple months until things die down to level or is there a better way to go about this?

My server during Vanilla, Silver Hand, had a 10:1 Alliance:Horde ratio.

It stayed like that for all of Vanilla.

If your server is 30:1 I’m not sure it’s ever going to get better.

Not in any way trying to sound snarky, but honestly just reroll on another server. It’s not likely to change at all where you currently are.

I gave up on the aoe farm. Server is simply too crowded to even get big pulls

You have to be smart about it.

Overcrowded realms plus popularized hotspots that every youtuber and streamer is announcing to the world… you ain’t going to get anything done there.

You have to do your own research and exploring, and find good spots. Everyone wants the 10+ ultra pulls, and everyone is fighting for them.

Meanwhile I’m questing in near empty zones and I find the occasional 5+ aoe spot that is totally vacant.

And if all else fails. Get an AoE group to do instances with. That’s zero competition, just needs a good group!

This. As a mage you’ll have wait approximately .2 minutes looking for a group to AoE dungeon grind. You’ll get more XP and more money too. Much better than AoE grinding in the world.

Definately just aoe grind dungeons its great xp like the 2 above stated. Not hard to find groups as a mage.
