I love to world pvp but swords aren’t that good at it so I want a decent pve and good pvp build
Combat Swords is fine in PvP. Is it the single best Rogue spec? No but it’s more than good enough. Rogue is insanely OP in classic so you should still be able to beat anything except a well played frost mage (and they give dagger rogues fits as well).
As for daggers, it’s only viable if you are are leveling strictly with a group so that someone else can hold aggro. Solo leveling with daggers you won’t have enough opportunities to backstab.
What shoes said isn’t strictly true. Before 30 you will have a tough time leveling with a dagger build. Post 30 it’ll be more feasible with cheap + Kidney Shot but you’ll have a rough time against any mobs with higher health pools that you can’t kill in your stun lock. That said, swords is the optimal leveling build and it isn’t bad in PvP. You should still be able to kill most classes of a similar level if you handle your CDs correctly.
Really? To me frost mages are the easiest targets. I have improved sprint so I wait for them to freeze me and kill them before they have a chance to freeze me again. They are super squishy so they die fast.
The only class which I can’t beat is a warrior
A well played frost mage shouldn’t lose to any melee period. The key words here being well played. There are of course lots of potatoes out there.
Also, speccing into improved sprint is a pretty big sacrifice while leveling. Riposte is very, very good damage for only 10 energy, and reduces your incoming damage which means less downtime between pulls.

if you dont gouge you kill as fast as combat rogue on single target. you basically use SS to generate pts for kidney so you never really stop attacking.
instant poison mainhand/cripple offhand (if you go dub insta you cant pvp well since you need that cripple)
warrior is actually extremely easy to beat, frost mages if they dont die in two shots they start doing really nasty things that forces cool downs and they have more
