Classic Anniversary Nightslayer Consumables/Commodities

Hey guys; I’m not here to gripe about Botting, GDKPS or other emergent gameplay. Strictly discussing the scarcity of consumables and commodities causing an absurd surge in prices

In original classic most servers had a population necessitating one layer (I know a few higher pop servers did temporarily have 2-3 layers) - That layer was open 24/7/365 to support the farming of materials to accommodate the players, particularly raiders buying these goods.

Combining all players in to one or two servers vastly increases the active raiding population, to the tune of 7+ Layers; but most of the time the server shrinks down to as low as 2 layers during off peak hours; There is simply an unprecedented number of raiders to accessible resources; The solution is to either leave the server at a reasonable number of layers 24/7 OR drastically increase the drop rates/spawn rates to compensate for the reduced uptime.

Please fix, I’m just a peon that likes to get juiced up and beat up easy content, I’m not here to farm 18 hours a day to afford consumables.

Thanks for attending my Ted Talk

Good luck. Blizzard hasn’t said anything in 48 days about this

People buy mats, make the pots then release them bit by bit while also buying directly from the botted mat suppliers

Sure; there’s definitely incentive to manipulate the market, Black Lotus is clearly being controlled but look at something like Arcane Crystals where even a source as small as 2-3 Instanced RTVs, the market eventually normalizes.

What I’m proposing will inevitably cause prices to normalizes across the board including Black Lotus

Only way to normalize is to neutralize, We have to make changes to elixir production and add SoD changes to combat the bots who will farm/craft more than any real player ever could.

Supply will eventually outstrip whatever issues you’re outlining; Hoarding only works with incredibly resources like Black Lotus in their current implementation
