DK was never immortal, bad players just don’t know how to fight a DK. it takes a minute to kill a DK, but once the threshold is crossed, that kill is going to happen unless the DK gets outside help.
now we are just going to flop like a fish to any dps, we can’t stand up to physical damage, and now we can’t stand up to casters. we have no mobility but must kite, and must rely in our kill pressure even though we have to spend all our resources on chains and self healing. with that kind of complexity a little live lord play is warranted.
Fury only heals to full 1 time in the cooldown tradeoff. With dampening, their other self heals are similar to mitigation that decreases into dampening. I’m not sure why you would compare them to DH?
Guardian druids only seem Op compared to other tanks because a lot of people are playing them. Blood DKs in BGs are even worse than guardian. Prot warriors are just as bad. Prot paladin is just as bad. I haven’t encountered a vengeance DH but I have a feeling they would be just as bad. Brewmaster I have no idea I think the last time they were good in PvP was wod or maybe legion before they nerfed hot trub.
The only dps I can honestly say is to OP in PvP right now is havoc. No other dps is consistently giving me issues, playing a moonkin to 11k honor, then a rogue to 11k honor, and my ele shaman is up to 6k. Yeah there are some other powerful specs like rogue, Dk, fury, spriests, locks. But DH is just on another level of busted.
oof, you’re in for a surprise when more dh nerfs come and you have to find out you weren’t as good as you thought. No offense, but it’s pretty clear DH is “the” most op atm.
Hard to kill as a healer is fine, it’s when they can crank damage too that it becomes a problem. As a Rogue I don’t feel entitled to a kill every time I engage someone… But if my target is near immortal they better not be pumping damage at the same time…that’s a balance issue.
I wish they’d tone all the stuff you listed down and also reduce the need for instant casts to compete. Time to make actual casting do damage so casters don’t have to rely on gimmicky instants. I absolutely hate needing shadow crash, mind bender, and catharsis in PvP because they are instant casts and the only damage I can use reliably.
Or maybe create an ability that prevents enemies within 30 yards from using gap closers for 3 or 4 seconds but balance it by not allowing the caster to use any spells 5 seconds after using it?
Maybe things will get better as my haste increases.
Just reroll to one of these finely tuned melee classes. I chose WW monk for my reroll and its been a great decision, I waltz right in, press 2 buttons and instantly kill the target unkess its a dk or lock. The dk doesnt ever die bcuz of necropolis and ds, but the lock takes 4 buttons to kill.
Yeah, I will admit the middle of the pack is fairly interchangeable that said Both Assassination and Sub Rogues have nerfs incoming to their primary burst skills where the other classes in mid range do not.
