Classes that match races

So I wanted to create all the classes and I wanted to know which classes match which race. I didn’t want to repeat races. Example: If I create a DH-Blood Elf, I cannot create a Mage-Blood Elf. And I also wanted to do half Horde and half Alliance. Give me suggestions friends!!

My list would be the following

Alliance:
Human: Paladin, mage, rogue, priest or warrior
Dwarf: Warrior, hunter, paladin or priest
Night Elf: Druid, warrior, Demon hunter, hunter or priest
Gnome: mage or warlock.
Draenei: Priest, paladin or shaman
Worgen: hunter, warrior or rogue

Horde:
Orc: Shaman, warlock, warrior, death knight (i mean the OG DK’s were orcs in human bodies)
Undead: Warlock or rogue
Tauren: warrior, shaman or druid
Troll: Hunter, shaman or priest
Blood Elf: Mage, paladin, priest, demon hunter or hunter
Goblin: rogue, mage or hunter (Goblins love explosions and hunter does have explosive trap :P)

Neutral:
Pandaren: Monk
Dracthyr: Evoker. I mean this one is obvious.

Do you want allied races as well or just core?

If you were to choose a class for each race, counting on allies, what would you put?

The issue there is that there are more races than classes. Meaning that you will have to double up on a class if you want to have one of each race.

So choosing a race / class combo and that class can only be used once but having all races is impossible.

In fact, I wanted a class for each race, with allies

If I were to shorten my list to only one class per race they would be

Human: Warrior. Sorry all MHP’s out there
Dwarf: Warrior (mountain thane is going to be a hero talent in TWW)
Night Elf: Druid
Gnome: Mage
Draenei: Priest
Worgen: Hunter
Void Elf: Priest (mainly shadow)
Lightforged Draenei: Paladin
Dark Iron Dwarfs: Shaman
Kul Tiran Human: Mage
Mechagnomes: hunter

Orc: Death Knight
Undead: Warlock
Tauren: Warrior
Troll: Hunter
Blood Elf: Demon Hunter
Goblin: rogue
Nightborne: Mage
Highmountain Tauren: Hunter
Mag’har Orc: Shaman
Zandalari Troll: Priest
Vulpera: hunter

Pandaren: Monk
Dracthyr: Evoker

I tried to think of the iconic characters for each race, what class they translate to but also which one best represents that race. Some there tricky, such as both gnomes, goblins and vulpera. Classes like Demon Hunter only have two races they could be and neither of those have DH’s as the ‘iconic’ representation. So I caved on blood elf. I mean when you think Night Elf you think druids first and foremost. Even though THE DH is a night Elf.

You are a hero, I found it incredible how separated I am, now I can create my characters, thank you very much my friend

You win this thread.

Now this us outrageous!

But it actually doesn’t make sense.

Humans are literally the first paladins on Azeroth. The Order of the Knights of the Silver Hand was formed in the Second War as the armed wing of the Church of the Holy Light. Human Paladins are a quintessential Warcraft combination.

Human Priests make a lot more sense than Human Warriors. Humans are a deeply-religious people, with a strong faith. Stormwind is the centre of the Church of the Holy Light.

The most fitting Human classes are Paladin and Priest. Humans are the most religious race on Azeroth, so Paladin and Priest, the two Holy Light-centric classes, fit them perfectly.

This is not to say that Humans don’t make great warriors, Varian and Paladins are right there (Paladins are warriors of the Light). Just that Paladin and Priest fit more the Human lore, so centred around the worship of the Holy Light, than a generic rage warrior.

Be that has it may, there’s no Dwarven warrior in lore that matches up to the iconic Varian on the Alliance side. Where Dwarves excell in is he expansion and keeping of lore and craft. The Skyships of the Alliance lean heavily on Dwarven engineering.

Guess we’re disrespecting Muradin and the other Mountain Thanes now, you know, the dwarves strongest warriors

Any of them one shot a Fel Reaver the size of a hill by literally falling on it sword first?

But then again I’ve said that the OP’s idea is hopeless because we don’t have a neat number of classes that match the number of races anyway.

Iconic and feats are not mutually exclusive. Mountain Thanes are the iconic dwarven warriors

Yeah but Varian had all his CDs up due to staring at Gul’dan for 5 minutes while the all the fighting went on above/around him.

Guys, decide what to do, I really liked the suggestions and I was in doubt, do you think a worgem hunter or a vulpera hunter is better?

I would make a Worgen Hunter

If we go by feats, my man Jarod held his own against archimonde on 1v1.

So therefore night elves are the most ichonic warrior race…

I’m joking…

Well, I mean you’re not wrong. Granted that’s because Archimonde didn’t just feel like killing him outright and then the Legion was sucked back into the twisting nether before the fight could conclude. But, Jarod did well surviving even a little while 1v1 against Archimonde so he gets a gold star for effort.
