Classes for PvP

What classes are you guys rolling in classic for pvp and why?
Am rolling war. Why? I love tanking and on the pvp side i could probably destroy people with the right set of armor and skills. Plus am trying to craft my own Talent tree in the Classic Talent Calculator

There’s a choice besides SL Warlock?

People who play soul link lock also wash paper plates to re-use them

I’m considering Nightfall/Conflag or Firemancer , mainly going to be pvp focused…

Possibly SM/Ruin starting out too…

Paladin, I have a 44% chance to burst like a warrior and I can provide support to my team.

Stuck between mage(frost or ele), priest (shadow dwarf), and hunter

I’m rolling Warlock, think I’ll start out SL until I can farm hard, pick up some gear and to give myself a little more leeway in learning the class. Later I’ll try a more damage focused spec, unless I just happen to fall in love w/ SL longer-term

It’s not so much that you’ll fall in love with SL, as you will with just never dying. Ever.

I couldn’t let go of Warcraft III and refused to do the subscription thing, so despite all my friends leaving for WoW I didn’t start til wotlk. I’ve learned toward offensively playing tanks and healers–high survivability with medium output. Based on a history of that playstyle I assume I’m gonna like a tanky build on the warlock, but hey, respec is always an option if I wanna go the glass cannon route later.

Not doing Warrior this time unless the guild needs me to be one. Love the playstyle but I want more freedom to hammer down some justice in a shockingly harmful way, that I can do with my own wisdom and vengeance, without relying on others to keep me alive.

That’s because they’re efficient and environmentally friendly.

I’ll probably be SM/Ruin. I had gotten a lot of mileage out of that spec, until wrath gave Warlock Metamorphosis. Metamorphosis was OP and nothing was the same again.

Shadow Priest. I’ve heard they do well, plus also Mind Control shenanigans.

Na they’re awful. I highly recommend all Horde warlocks roll UD edgelords. 25% stun resist is horrible. Definitely do NOT roll Orc.

Yours sincerely,
A Human Rogue…

The ultimate hero class. Edgelord can crit you when you look his way. The damage is staggering, mostly due to his sharp wit.

That’s what I’m rollin.

Gnome Warlock

Why? Because Gnomes are awesomesauce! :grinning: But for real, I like the small people (pretty tall irl myself so…) Warlocks have a lot going on for them, with their enormous tool-kit. Also, I like solo challenges, and if there is one class that can take on solo challenges, it is warlock. yea yea, hunters etc. up my wazoo! They are good at some solo challenges. However, I don’t see them try solo Scholo, now do they? Well, Warlocks can do exactly that, and it is one of my goals! (Shadow Priest can as well!) I’ll try take on other high level dungeons as well, and see how it goes. Going to be super fun!

I recommend the following classes:

WSG101: How not to fight mid. Prerequisite for WSG102 and WSG201.
WSG102: Flag running for Druids.
WSG201: Flag running for Non-Druids.

AB101: Fight on the Flag! Prerequisite for AB102a and 102b.
AB102a: Farming the Gold Mine for Mr. Smithy.
AB102b: At least we have stables. Alliance Only.

AV101: Snowball’s chance in Hell. Prerequisite for AV102.
AV102: Just to recap… Prerequisite for AV103 and AV104.
AV103: Turtle! Turtle! Turtle!
AV104: Behold! the Field in which I grow my Strife. Prerequisite of AV201a, AV201b, AV301a and AV301b.
AV201a: Talk to me, Guse. Horde Only.
AV201b: Just Slidore right in. Alliance Only.
AV301a: Tree Trimming. Horde Only.
AV301b: Spelunking. Alliance only.
