With lava burst now being class wide and being able to talent into using 10 mw for our instant casts, I think lava burst will be our new heavy hitter to replace chain harvest.
I’m wondering, does enhance get the guaranteed critical hit with flame shock on the target though?
Yes it will, the tooltip in the talent tree at least still says “always crit if FS on the target” so no need to worry.
Im not ready for the amount of procs enhance will have in some builds. I can’t wait to crash my groupmates computers from the sheer amount of particle effects.

They’ve effectively “kept” chain harvest without naming it chain harvest. You have more utility with your maelstrom being able to supercharge different spells based on your need at the time.
WIth Primordial Wave you can now spread your flame shock around, using lava lash, 10 point LvB/Elemental Blast/LB whatever, gain 6-30% haste for 12 seconds, pop Doomwinds and just watching everything melt in a beautiful display of enhanced carnage.

If you talent into it, maybe. Lava burst procs could be insane on enhancement. Plus, for me personally I don’t think I’ll talent into it because it’s just one more button to push lol
If tuning stays the same, LB will do more damage than Lightning Bolt, even with all the talents buffing up Lightning Bolt.
But you do miss out on one point in the general tree, which already kinda sucks for enhance (imo).
from what i can tell Enh doesnt get procs on LvB. Lava surge is in the ele talent tree. if LvB hits hard enough it might be worth taking and using on CD, and PWave only works with Lighting bolt for enhance. might still be worth using, lots of balance and changes yet to happen, but will have to wait and see.
It really depends how hard Lava Burst hits, but yeah, we don’t get Lava Surge so it’s a bit like having Elemental Blast. Use it on cooldown if it hits harder, but with all the buffs we get through nature and lightning bolt it might not be worth it.
I feel bad for Enhancement players, it seems like it is semi rebuilt every expansion.
If anything, LvB would be used as a way to guarantee flurry.
We lost a lot even just from BFA, though it looks like this expansion is a return to form and brings back a lot of our roots. Hopefully this talent tree is here to stay and they’ll just improve on it.
