Class Tuning

So should class tuning be a thing? Yes No Why? Seeing only certain classes be brought along all the time would seem pretty stale.
No, no class tuning.

Also, search is your friend. Learn it, use it, love it.

Cheers,
Loq
All classes will be desirable. Everyone brings something.
we have had this discussion many times over the past year. this discussion is a dead horse that necromancers keep bringing back to life.

All classes are desired in all aspects of the game.
Not trying to necro anything and sorry if it upsets you to see it again.

well a simple search of the forums would show you numerous discussions on this very subject. many of us are just tired of seeing it pop up 3-4 times a week. i'm not upset so much as annoyed.

lets say hypothetically Like Zyrius wants, and a Druid all of a sudden does the dps of a rogue or mage (depending on spec).
why would i bring a mage or rogue over a druid who brings innervate, battle rez, and a party wide aura?
I could bring 1 mage to cover my water/food and AI requirements.
i wouldn't need a rogue at all.

Vanilla was balanced around CLASSES, not how players CHOSE to play those CLASSES.

Every CLASS is viable at EVERY aspect of the game. EVERY CLASS brought something to EVERY aspect of the game. Players have the option to play to their CLASS's strengths in whatever aspect of the game they choose to participate. If they CHOOSE not to play to their CLASS's strengths in any given aspect of the game, then they need to accept that they may find it more difficult to excel and to find groups willing to accept them.

That is how it was in Vanilla and, IMO, that is how it should be in Classic.

It is up to the PLAYERS to adapt to Classic, not the other way around.

Other way around, this discussion is literally on the front page, right now, has been for a year.

But yeah it's a common concern and is generally rejected by the NoChange crowd, advocated by the retail folks.

Hey now, we already win this argument without strawmanning their position.

Only trolls and those... less careful with their theorycrafting, let's say, actually advocate making hybrids EQUAL to pures in dps.

Most honest suggestions understand the hybrid tax concept.

As well, remember that raiding is only one aspect of the game. So it would only be stale for those who raid exclusively.

The five man runners, questers, pvpeople, and... shudder... RPers would have zero issues with variety.
If you are looking at min/max some classes are less desirable and some hybirds may only be wanted in very small quantity (1 or 2 out of 40) but classic is based on patch 1.13, so its not as bad as some remember it.

I still remember raids full of casters wanding because oom.
Which for me is why i am going to play Classic and hope its a good experience. I am very frustrated with today's PvP. Everyone has a stun, or 10. Heals, CCs, etc. All of the "balance" ,for me, makea the game feel terribly unbalanced. I cant wait for classic.
