Going from #1 to #3 in a compact top tier isn’t a problem. It’s the people who seem to think we want havoc to go from top 3 down to bottom 2.
Part of what makes Havoc so ridiculous as well is it’s not just amazing in raid. It’s top tier in raid then can waltz into m+ and blast the entire place with giga aoe, do still amazing single target with its aoe build, and while having great utility as well.
And I’m agreeing that havoc’s damage absolutely needs to get toned down a bit.
All in all I don’t see these buffs really changing much. The top outliers are fairly stupid and buffing specs like Affliction by 6% or Shadow 5% won’t help when specs like Havoc, Assassination, and slightly lesser but BM are running roughshod.
No pve changes? Wow,
I don’t want to use Chill Streak.
Stop making set piece bonuses that are dependent on optional talents.
Buff Frost dk. This is going to do nothing. You could double the damage of Obliterate and it would still be garbo.
The set bonuses being tied to talents is part of why things like Destruction are so weak. Dimensional Rift is a significant DPS loss to take period over Chaos Incarnate, and only really works for single target, meaning the bonus has to be absurd and it’s simply not. This results in the spec underperforming and ending up even weaker in AoE. Destruction took an effective AoE nerf from 10.1 to 10.2 because of attaching the bonus to DR while having a half baked tier bonus.
Mages are a thing anymore?
I think they should look at how many people are still playing survival hunters now.
How many were playing survival hunter in 9.3.
How many people didn’t want to be playing survival hunter in 9.3.
How many people leave because of things like… “Oh I need to play survival hunter to be competitive now?”
Competitive situations shouldn’t be decided at the character select screen.
Don’t worry bro, they’ll have the tuning by the time you reach 70
The rankings are not a big deal. It’s the spread between the classes.
If the difference between the #1 spec and the dead last spec was 2-3%, there wouldn’t be as much concern. Having a gap of 10% means the bottom specs are getting an inferior product/experience and that warrants change in my book, but it would be orders of magnitude better than what we have now.
These 20-30%+ gaps are inexcusable in my opinion. Xpacs/patches should never go live with a 20%+ gap. I hope blizzard is unhappy with the quality of product they are delivering even when a gap of 10% is around. I can’t say they are since they rarely get close, if ever…
I’ve played a meta spec in the same season I’ve played an underperforming one. The experience is vastly different, meta you have no problem getting into keys or PUG raids, while the lesser spec just suffers. Progression not only takes longer simply because you spend more time getting invites, the progression itself is harder once you get invited because your class is weaker than average.
The struggle is real for underperforming specs and Blizz doesn’t seem all that motivated to fix it, it’s only been 19 years though. I’ll keep holding my breath.
Affliction’s tier is bugged or tooltip isn’t reading correctly. Tuning can only do so much. Can’t staunch bleeding with a bandaid.
Destro’s problem lies in their tier set buffing a capstone that is bad compared to the other node. Dimension Rift > Your mastery affecting AOE damage. Despite getting a 50% aura buff to DR it’s STILL performing poorly.
We spent 200+ posts on the 10.2 feedback for warlocks giving VERY constructive criticism only to be met with silence. They wanted to be more transparent and open a line of communication but our major problems weren’t addressed.
6% aura buff isn’t going to break the game for us, but it largely ignored all the feedback we gave.
Homie I’ve played warlock for years. I am aware of the feedback.
To say Warlocks have not received dev attention is wildly disingenuous. I did not say the aura buffs solved all of the issues.
Literally nothing changes, get a PvP dev already
Awaiting ele shaman buffs, or at least the tweaks not making frost shock mandatory with this new tier set. BARF!
These buffs/nerfs brought to you by tier list, tier list… when the community tries to convince you that you and your class suck
Blizzard has commented on today’s class tuning changes, noting that more class tuning changes are coming on December 5th which will likely include buffs and nerfs.
So this is where you nerf DH/Rogue. Nice.
Wonder if a leggo axe that will give me 5% st damage will have my arms damage even remotely close after their nerfs.
Max from Liquid even openly stated that if BM were a bit weaker, Ele would have likely been what they used. The damage is great but it’s hard to justify using it when BM is Payphoning its way to immense damage.
Demo has overtaken BM hunter so they are top 3 now on heroic logs. They will get even stronger now that everyone is getting tier
