True. I basically haven’t done any content in Dragonflight for close to a week because I can’t stand how miserable tanks are making dungeons with their stupid pulls.
It’s remarkable how little tanks care about the rest of the group when they are personally borderline unkillable.
Especially the “no longer refreshed” portion, it completely defeats its purpose as an MS as when we are even able to build up to 12 stacks, the debuff will likely end and thats assuming were not CCd or interrupted during the rotation.
Like think about it:
rampage, global, global, rampage /3 sec/6 stacks/18% MS
global, global, rampage /6 sec/9 stacks/27 MS
global, global, rampage /9 sec/12 stacks/36 MS for one second? and then back to 0% healing reduction for 3 seconds?
happiness with the game as a tank MUST mean they’re overpowered and need to be nerfed. happiness with the game as a DPS or healer spec means great job game devs. make it make sense!
The lack of tanks is not due to damage or survival issues.
Blizzard continually makes the role of tanks and healers more difficult, expansion after expansion.
All those who believe that if the Evoker had Tank Spec there would be more tanks available don’t know what they are talking about.
Simply put those who were DH/DK/Warrior/etc would have moved to Evoker.
The few tanks that are there have their own group and don’t move out of that comfort zone.
The same applies to healers.
I at least see it as a positive that Blizzard wants Healers to go back to being Healers and not a fourth DPS.
There is a massive amount of over the top reaction in this thread; the tank nerfs are pretty small and anyone playing one of the top tier tanks knows just how ridiculous they are right now.
That said; tank BALANCE remains every bit as screwed up… speaking as a guardian druid the fact that I received the same nerf as BrM and PLD is just insane. I want a reason to play BrM but I have no idea whatsoever why ANYONE would right now.
I get nerfing tanks for pvp, but for dungeons, it seems unfair, at least to this extent. Tanking felt fun, and if you want more tanks to help people get through dungeons, you have to throw us a bone every once in a while. Maybe reducing some of the duration of the buffs or the lowering the %. Just keep tanking fun, so we won’t burn out.
Tanks not needing healers in gear appropriate content means they are overpowered.
Tanks pulling half the instance, having most or all their team mates immediately die from AOE damage, then soloing the place means they are overpowered.
Obviously being a god is fun. In an online game the developers have to balance the tank having fun and the misery that “fun” is causing other players.
Maybe I’m just playing wrong. But Brewmaster for me is currently slapping. It’s the most fun I’ve had with any tank outside of warrior. But I don’t want to play warrior because that class needs to be nerfed. (I did a dungeon and just pulled boss to boss and could care less about my “team”).
My mains going into S1 are going to be BrM and Prot paladin. They have the best playstyle.
