As someone who mained Dev through DF I wish we had more options for builds and abilities. I still don’t understand how Firestorm isn’t worth taking and while I think the triple Disintegrate is cool and fun, it would be nice to have more than like 3 buttons to press.
I don’t want the button bloat I have on my shaman, but it feels Devastation’s rotation is a little too simple.
Why even bother implementing these useless “buffs” to DH? Less than a 1% damage increase when accounting for an average dh damage breakdown - what a joke, y’all got me heated
Spear Hand Strike now interrupts all casters in melee range, and Keg Smash resets its cooldown.
Completedly busted and would make Brewmaster the only pick you’d take due to this utility.
Leg Sweep now sucks in all enemies within 30 yards, THEN stuns them.
Also completely busted. Leg Sweep is fine as it is, though I honestly think it should be a longer stun (rip 5s stun)
Celestial Brew has no cooldown (just like Ignore Pain).
Remove it altogether. We didn’t want it. It acts like wants to be a tank mini game, and we’re balanced around it, but its honestly useless. Would much rather have increased dodge brew back based on purified damage.
Breath of Fire applies its damage reduction even if the target is not affected by Keg Smash.
Literally not an issue. Keg Smash lasts forever, and you should always BoF after a keg smash anyways for charred passions
If you want some actual changes in the right direction, heres what we’d need:
Increase stagger on magical damage. Not by a lot, but 58% → 64% would make a huge difference when dealing with magical tankbusters.
Increase Keg Smash AOE radius by 3 yards. Right now, its embarassing to keg smash a pack and NOT hit everything, lose threat, and then have to taunt mobs.
Increase threat generation on Keg Smash. Again, its embarassing to have aggro issues when no other tank has this problem like Brewmaster. I could be pulling 1.5M AOE dps and STILL have threat ripped from me because of the multipliers.
Reduce Fort Brew base cooldown to 4 minutes. This would make the talent choice between a 2m fort brew and a strogner fort brew more engaging. Nerf the 2m reduction to a 1 minute reduction. Allow fortifying brew to also increase the stagger amount by 20% baseline.
Increase armor contribution and stamina by about 20% and 10% respectively. We have the lowest HP, even lower than Prot Paladin, and our base armor is way too low.
Make Ring of Peace have a talent node that is an AoE silence. This would help immensely and fits with the whole “up close martial artist” brawler class aesthetic. A 4 second silence without the knockback would be perfect.
Improve the base UI to display stagger better. The bar was a nice addition, but frequently your stagger goes well above your HP and in higher keys, thats normal. Not knowing whether you’re taking 600k/s or 800k/s is a problem.
Increase base Celestial Brew w/o purified chi by 100%. Remove it from the GCD.
Reduce GCD of Vivify from 1.5s to 1.0s to make it align better with the base Monk GCD
Increase Blackout Kick Damage by 10-20%. If we’re not bringing a lot of utility, we should go back to being the “fourth dps” of tanks. Right now, we’re probably 3rd or 4th when it comes to damage overall.
Avert Harm: Stagger 20% of incoming raid damage, reduced for targets above 5 players. This is a PvP talent that would make Brew a very solid choice for progression. Balance it by having it on a long, 5 minute cooldown.
There are a lot of Warlock concerns too since we are a playable class as well. Almost non of it or the tuning has been addressed for quite some time. If there are no Warlock devs could you at least ask your interns to check in on the Warlock forums and read some of the feedback and give a few of this feedback to who ever is in charge of bringing these changes.
They balance the game around the top 1% if I remember right. So if some 300 IQ person is over performing with a class or spec, they nerf it, even if the average player isn’t coming anywhere close to the other player’s performance.
How can you sit here and change Havoc for PvP only? This is ludicrous. Havoc has been underperforming outside of cooldowns all expansion so far. So your idea to fix this is to apply mediocre buffs to PvP???
Havoc DESPERATELY needs to be looked at in its entirety for PVE!!! we are sitting at the bottom for single target. Not to mention our opener is a sequence of 15+ spells and we rely on a 2-minute cooldown to do anything noteworthy.
The changes you guys made to FOCUSED HATRED are bugged. We only see a 40% demonsurge increase on single targets, which goes down from there and don’t even get me started on Aldrachi Reaver. What are you guys doing over there??
Please take a BIG look at Havoc and demon hunter as a whole, this spec and class need a rework. I don’t feel like making a super long post but if you want some suggestions then take a little stroll over to the DH discord or your own DH forums.
Lets talk about your intended fixes to our damage profile outside of cooldowns:
Felblade: Is a fury generator/gap closer… in no world do we use it as an option for damage output.
Demon Blades & Demon’s Bite: what is this, lol? this is such a joke of a change. In what world will this help with sustained damage outside of cooldowns? Have you ever looked at the damage breakdown of a 3-5 min fight for havoc?
Whoever is your lead Demon Hunter Designer, I’d recommend you fire them, completely out of touch with the community. I love this class and its fantasy, but you guys, for some reason unbeknownst to the community, have NO IDEA what to do with it, and it’s causing a lot of frustration in the DH community.
Crazy theory here, but the demon hunter class was completely ripped off, mechanics wise, from Illidan in Heroes of the Storm. The class was literally designed around a MoBA. But now that HotS has folded, they don’t have anything to copy and nothing to draw inspiration from.
naw more like there isn’t enough people that play brewmaster for the devs to believe they will see a noticeable spike in token sales by buffing it or giving it the rework it needs
