A nerf to shields and a buff to atonement is still a mega nerf to disc.
With the overall damage output there’s barely anytime to throw out disc damage in between heals that’s why disc is / has been reliant on shields and heals.
Actually, to be honest, they’ve ALWAYS been reliant on shields. This change is clearly clearly CLEARLY made by no one that actually plays the game or has known the history of how the class has been played.
Not for nothing, but nerfing any heals at the moment will only decrease the amount of involvement of said healers in ranked solo shuffle. Where dps have now (more than ever) been experiencing ridiculous queue times.
And this is just the analysis for ONE spec of ONE class.
I can only imagine how hopeless all of the other players feel. Especially for players who only have time for one underperforming class who just sit there feeling hopeless that they have not been helped and sit around waiting in valdrakken cause their class doesn’t get picked up for group activities.
Blizzard’s goal/“promise” back at the end of shadowlands was to increase player involvement by truly listenening to the community. Just a couple of weeks into the second season and after witnessing the insane ret pally dominated phase of the end of last season I can confidently say they have never ever been more out of touch.
Delete my comment or ban me, I don’t care anymore. If ya’ll don’t care about the game you’re developing, I won’t either.
Sorry, completely disagree, what those numbers shows is most wow players just want the path of least resistance. WoW is a pretty easy game, and Blizz has been simplifying specs for years, Brew stands above most as a complex spec to play well and most don’t want to play a complex spec and Monk in and of itself just isn’t a popular class as a whole. Played well, Brew has incredible damage output, mitigation, self healing, and utility. It is NOT at the same low level as a Guardian Druid at all. Just because most players want smooth brain FOTM classes doesn’t point to how good a spec is. I’ll also remind you nearly every RWF team had a Brew as the tank so.
I’m literally just quoting you to echo what you said - thanks for paying mind to BM tuning, and hope to see something larger re: our desirability in raids and survival.
Considering your PTR changes, it seems you guys don’t even know what Demonology’s identity is, considering you’re making changes cause they’re doing too much damage with pets and not enough damage by themselves, which is literally their identity.
I only played enh the first 5 years I played, and it was painful. I’m surprised I didn’t quit, but, at the time, it was a strange utility spec that worked with warriors and hunters. When rated bgs came out, I realized I was going to have to play alts, switch specs, or not participate.
Because I spent those 5 years playing a subpar spec, I will not do that to myself again. My demon hunter will get more play than I even want to play it if enh is unplayable. If demon hunter is nerfed after this, I’ll switch to arms since your changes always seem to suggest it…love fury and play warrior when it is the clear winner.
While it may need some adjustment on burst, Enh is still squishy, which is why it is not the ret pally of last season. I hope these changes don’t make me have to shelve my enh again. Please correct me if I’m wrong about the changes. Would love to hear that it will still be viable/isn’t being nerfed in the way that I perceive.
Bad thing about enh is that no one wants it for rated bgs so, if you make it anything below A tier in arena, there isn’t much of a point in playing the spec. Either make enh viable in rated bgs or let it be a spec that performs well in arena.
With the frequency of changes (much less this season than last), I feel the need to run about 3-5 specs I like so that I can shelve and switch toons whenever a big enough round of nerfs come through. I’d rather not have to do this.
Call if flavor of the month all you want, folks, but not all of us are rank one. Especially with the mmr deflation, why would I want to play anything that is going to make it even more difficult to grind? No thanks.
It’s nice to see Arms and Prot getting buffed but Fury is also below the average for raid damage, ST is kind of lacking, buffing Raging Blow and Rampage by even just 5-8% would be amazing. Kinda depressing seeing some classes have all their DPS specs above all of Warrior’s DPS specs
