Hopefully people should see why you should never roll a mage. Blizz makes it mandatory that Warlock is superior year after year.
2 mage specs sit way below Affliction locks in every area of the game, and yet warlocks get buffs across their entire skillset, while mage gets a worthless FB buff and a buff on a talent nobody uses.
It’s absolutely insane at this point.

What fraking buff to warriors? They didn’t get a buff at all in this patch and only a nerf in pvp.

Funny you say that because the warlocks say the same thing about mages and how they have the better specs and how they ignore the warlocks. Especially with affliction, which all consider to be trash

Holy crap! Prot Warriors survived the tuning pass…!
I don’t hear WL saying that much at all, nor do the numbers ever support that case if they did. Most WLs I hear say “yeah, rerolled from mage. This class way better.”
Just look at logs right now and try to explain why the huge disparity in buffs between the 2 classes

I just checked the logs, Affliction is close to dead last. Fire is one up from Affliction, frost is is doing better than demo and arcane is just pumping.

Are you trying to be obtuse on purpose or?
In every scenario, both Frost and Fire mage are below Aff locks.

That isn’t what the warcraft logs says directly on their page. Maybe just maybe wowhead is wrong. Even the wowhead page says Arcane is pumping and affliction is almost down to 21st place
edit: all these logs are telling me though is to make an outlaw rogue.

It’s exactly what wowhead says lmfao.
How is arcane relevant to the discussion? Did we bring up demo warlock? The IQ of people on this forums is wild. That’s enough being trolled today.

Imagine being this upset over underperforming specs getting buffs???

Already going to the insults. You said mages, Arcane is part of the mages. You never specified fire mage, which is bad but just as bad as almost all the locks specs. So what are you on about?
The only spec that sits “below” affliction is fire, and that is almost neck in neck. Other logs show fire outperforming affliction. The other two specs out pace warlocks so far beyond the class that you don’t see mages going to warlocks like you claim

Read that real hard and slow.

One log states that, the other logs show both fire and frost outperforming affliction but keep going.

First you can’t read simple numbers on a graph, and you lost that miserably, so now you can’t read normal sentences either. Later bro.

And again with the insults because you are wrong. Have a nice day.

Holy freaking hell, is that true?
Mage didn’t get “buffs”. That’s my whole point. Mage has 2 specs that sit almost dead smack bottom. Their solution was to buff a 2 second cast frostbolt and give it 700 more damage, and a talent nobody uses because it’s junk. Specs will continue to sit at the bottom. They didn’t even give fire any ST buffs period.
Then, they took 2 poor performing warlock specs(but still better than the 2 mage specs), and gave them blanket buffs to multiple spells that are used in rotation.
My argument isn’t that WL didn’t need the buffs, it’s that given where they sit in the current rankings, the changes we see do not make any sense. If they thought WL needed all of those changes to be more competitive, then mages would need even more than what they gave locks, but instead they gave them far less.

Fire and frost need buffs, but no need to make up lies.
