almost like there was no PTR testing oh wait
For the Holy Paladin ones:
General thoughts:
We got hit pretty hard there… I don’t think this kills H Paladin by any means but definitely knocks it down, probably still among the better M+ healers but might get some competition at the top, which is ok.
For Raids I think it’s fine, probably will land close to middle of the pack HPS but we also bring Devo Aura, BOP, Sac, Immunity, a very unique healing profile (with great spot heals) so I think we are fine tbh probably meta.
More in-depth thoughts:
I think the HPS part is fine, 5% is more or less in-line with what I expected, small nerf to Tyr’s is also something I thought it was likely.
The nerfs Overflowing light is also warranted I think, we are providing that DR on top of bringing Devo Aura so I do think it was too strong.
For the Fading Light one I think it’s fair… I have to point out that in the state it is right now it lets me shrug off many hits almost like if nothing happened (maybe they drop me to like 60-70% health) but those on my Priest would be near one-shots. So as much as it saddens me to lose that I do think it was warranted. That said I think maybe capping the maximum value of the shield could have been a better approach.
For Blessing of Summer (again) I understand the nerf but I think capping the maximum value would have been a better approach.
As for the Consecration related I feel that either nerf Righteous Judgment OR the damage from Consecration would have been ok, I don’t think both were needed, I guess we’ll see.
The class is called cringe dragon you can’t change my mind.
Nerfing tanks in any capacity also makes me physically cringe in real life. When I read the nerfs, I was cringing so hard I had to turn my PC off.
The community is scrambling to find the next fotm to reroll to lmao
but but… remember devs don’t play this game!
How the heck are they to konw why MD is OP? MD is not top damage for shadow priests!
All they see is people want “variety” in the TGP and they thought TGP is everything! Why do they care about people who wants a shot at the title or high keys? Again, they do not play the game.
Why wouldn’t you just put a damage cap on Breath of Eons instead of the constant % nerf. The problem is the best guilds like ECHO deleting 6% of a tyrannical boss’ health in a 25, not your average Joe who can’t time the spell nearly that well.
Nerf current meta classes will do nothing to the M+ comps unless you nerf them to the ground(wont happen). Dev team is not seeing what is going on this season. The massive needs of Massive dispel and sooth/off healing and new affix(dispel etc) on this season is such a fall. Besides that, dis/holy priest is not strong enough. The rework on hpal/mages is too much, and the synergy of current meta is out of control cause some of the "intelligent ideas” from the dev team on mythic +. They will have a lot work to do on next season to fix this, and shadow priests will be dead next season if MD/Sooths/offhealing is not needed.
And one last thing rip to the teams that wanna push hard on keys!
I actually think “nerfing to the ground” has happened. Think it was in legion where warrior was god tier to unplayable. But again legion was mostly luck dependent for first few patches because you would pray to have your core legendary to drop lol.
Yes they cant and should not block the nerfs. Druid tank way too OP the majority agree it needs to be reduced even further than this weak attempt.
- Priest
- Vampiric Embrace now heals a nearby ally for 40% of any single-target Shadow spell damage dealt (was 50%). This change will also affect PvP combat.
- San’layn now reduces the cooldown of Vampiric Embrace by 30 seconds (was 45 seconds). This change will also affect PvP combat.
- Shadow
- Vampiric Touch damage reduced by 20%.
- Shadow Word: Pain damage reduced by 15%.
- Shadowy Apparition damage reduced by 15%.
- Healing from Vampiric Embrace is no longer reduced by 20% in PvP Combat.
So we all knew y’all had no one familiar with Spriest way back in the beta… but like it’s almost been a year and there still isn’t someone who actually knows what they’re doing with them?
IT’S.
NOT.
THE.
DAMAGE.
As we continue to monitor gameplay data and player feedback, we will soon make several tuning adjustments to classes that are over- and under-performing in group content. The following are changes that we intend to make with scheduled weekly maintenance (Tuesday, August 8 in this region).
Yeah this is fine and all. But what about the titles for 0.1% with mythic+ ? I’m pushing as hard as i can with the 2 nights I play a week. (This is just the content I’m playing now since PvP is loldead ignored)
Can you guys adjust the dungeons so that it’s still possible to climb after all these changes?
Honestly whichever one of you has decided to make “balancing” the twisting of knobs I.E. up 10% / down 5% needs their position seriously questioned. You’ve completely walked away from class identity, and are making things as fluid as possible with the least work possible. These mid season changes are absolutely horrible for the game, these lack luster % tunings don’t fix HUGE underlying issues. Im also willing to bet you don’t even test some of the content you launch.
Btw turning on god mode and confirming mechanics are working in a fight isn’t what I’m talking about. Im talking about making a group and trying to climb and push behind the scenes to see what’s op and what’s not(Raiding,PvP and Mythic+) some things are making it to live servers that with one test run you’d have found it and fixed it.
You guys are getting extremely sloppy and it’s showing across all platforms.
For the first time since I found WoW I’ve actually not wanted to be subscribed. I’ve canceled it and I’m playing until the end as my “window of opportunity” for you goofs to get it together. 4 months and counting.
Not trying to be mean or aggressive I’m just giving feedback.
Whoa now buddy. Under no circumstances is sin ever allowed to have AoE higher than a wet noodle.
It’s niche must remain mid ST and bad AoE.
Throughout the MDI and the TGPs, the group dispelling mechanic has pretty reserved a spot for priests unless the related mechanic can be ignore and/or priest class is trashed to the unplayable ground.
The issue is and always will be mass dispel, however it is one of the key features of priests. I think a good solution would be nerfing the group magic debuff mechanics.
GG Blizzard, even I have Shaman and evoker, but as a healer, I am tired ![]()
IS THAT HUGE MANATEE?? the best havoc dh in the world??
plz buff Arms warrior they need it fury doesn’t need it they are doing fine.
The shadow damage nerfs are so unnecessary. Are you developers playing your own game? These nerfs look like knee jerk reactions to data that hasn’t been scrutinized. Shadow is not doing more damage than other classes. They are purely being brought in due to their group utility compared to other available options. Make healing priests viable so that they can bring the utility instead and buff other off-meta classes. Prior to the introduction of Augmentation, this season was looking to be the most balanced season in a long time with several viable compositions. Address the root cause and stop with the constant nerfs to shadow.
Mage
- Fire
- Flamestrike damage decreased by 10%.
- Flame Patch damage decreased by 10%.
- Conflagration damage decreased by 10%.
- Meteor damage decreased by 10%.
- Phoenix Flames damage decreased by 10%.
- Living Bomb damage decreased by 10%.
Will it never end…. ![]()
Enjoying playing Fire again is gonna feel like a fever dream.
Frost mage AOE nerf!?

This is so stupid, fire was already nerfed and a lot of its damage was thanks to aug and PI too. 10%nerf?, again?
Worst part is they need frost who has been doing not even remotely as good as fire.
Just buff the rest and let everyone has fun, clowns.
