Class tree changes today

THANK YOU!!! These Dusk and Dawn changes are literally perfect. Exactly what’s been asked for, now it will be a fun capstone to have. So excited for that.

The other changes are also really good to the class tree. Divine steed off gcd, baseline increase to duration, seasoned warhorse is useful now at 2 seconds. Very good

I don’t get what the point of blessing of dawn stacking is other than to encourage overcapping on holy power for whatever reason

On paper many changes are definitely a step in the right direction. We’ll have to wait and see how it will turn out.

I am not sure either, was thinking about that. Great change overall though very pleased with everything.

I only ask for fast cast HL to be brought back somehow. That’s it for now. That would be the spell that allows hpals to use a healing generator over a dps only generator when healing is needed but you still need to generate. Otherwise pleased with all of this.

For hpal what i want to see is

  • add hammer of wrath to Avenging Crusader melee wings heal abilities

right now hammer of wrath feels more like a dead global during awakening procs in pvp and adding it to melee wings would make it feel good to press while waiting on judgment cd

  • holy shock triggers veneration

this is synergy because wings reduces cd of holy shock, and holy shock crits proccing veneration means being able to use hammer of wrath during AC if the first point is implemented and getting way more value out of awakening procs, since you don’t have the luxury of crusader striking whenever you want in arena and even in rbgs

  • give back harsh word as a spender

shield of the righteous is an absolute farce in pvp and absolutely not worth running across the arena to shield a mage for literally 3k damage for 3 holy power and compromising positioning

  • revert infusion of light change

retarded change that should never have happened in the first place because 2.5 second casts have no place in pvp

My only complaint is that the choice node of blessed hammer and crusading strikes is not a choice. Blessed hammer should have been an option that makes CS deal respectable damage as a trade off for not being passive like the other choice.

Why is lightforged blessing in class tree. Like I really dont mind. But dont make it affect Divine storm its ridiculous. Our give divine storm to all.

Also can we get a change on Tyr’s deliverance buff to have a second option like to boost other healing instead of the casted one. So i can use it on my melee build

I mean getting 20% of Divine Toll as shield on Holy will be like having back our SL leggo

It’s only a shield on ourselves not other players, but still a welcome change. I wonder if ‘Tower of Radiance’ counts towards Blessing of Dawn.

Seeing these new Class Tree and Ret changes really makes the Holy Tree look awful in comparison. Hopefully in 10.1 we get a rework.

Yeah so it functions like shielding words then. Not bad at all, definitely decent for class wide survivability.

I think holy definitely could use some help. Outside of a big rework away from holy power I’d like to see: awakening reworked to be non rng, add fast cast HL back.

Has anyone tested to see if Divine Hammers works with Hallowed/Consecrated Ground? I really want to know if they do but cant get on to test it myself.

All they need to do is revert the SL IoL change lol, but that’s asking too much from Blizzard apparently.

I actually don’t want that, because current infusion is what makes holy light a generator which is really good.

I want fast cast HL from other means like replacing HL gen from sunwell with a cast speed decrease, or adding selfless healer to holy.

Only way I’d want fast cast from IoL is if we do not lose the holy power generation from holy light. Unless they remove HL as a generator all together and just make it a very strong heal, but I doubt that.

I think the easiest way to deal with this is for blizz to set up integers which track the number of FoLs you cast, the number of HLs you cast and the number of IoLHLs you cast. Every three FoLs grants 1 HP, every one HL grants 1 HP and every three IoLHL grants 1 HP.

Seems straight forward to me and lets you do both, but maybe not idk.

HL and FoL literally just need to be generators, simple as that. They need to work in conjunction with melee playstyle, standing 40 yards away and blasting casts is just not going to happen for hpal without a full rework. They need to stop making “caster” and “melee separate playstyles, they need to work together.

We should be able to alternate between using HL/fol to generate and using CS/x to generate. if we need to heal then we use HL/FoL, if we want to do damage we use CS/HoW/whatever else.

Hpal has too many forced damage globals in order to generate, we should be able to swap that for healing globals that generate so we don’t have constant dead periods without healing.

Current tower was a good try, but it falls short. HL and FoL just need to generate holy power guaranteed and we need a way to cast them reliably so movement doesn’t just ruin casting as we are in melee. Fast cast HL or selfless healer are good suggestions

My feelings exactly. A healing rotation of:
Bandaid-Nothing-Nothing-Miracle isn’t fun with the kind of rot damage and 100% to 10% hits that happen in current design.
