I want to make every class player mad. So please list all classes below and what stereotypes you think apply to them. Thanks. I’ll start.
Warrior: Dudes with caveman brain who are always top damage for some reason. Probably because fury is really easy. Warrior tanks almost always have a weird superiority complex. Probably because Warrior tank was really good in Classic then kinda fell off.
Paladin: Warcraft 3 fans who think they are Arthas. They are either top damage or bottom damage. No inbetween. DPS paladins have a complex like warrior tanks. Tanks are weirdly chill. Healers, just like the DPS, are either absolutely spectacular or ungodly terrible. Notably, human male paladins are literally the most likely class to be a creep. If a human male paladin whispers you something along the lines of “Nice mog :3” feign a DC, but it is probably too late, because they have used your username to follow a breadcrumb trail you accidentally left throughout your entire online life to stalk you. They are standing right behind you. Run.
Death Knight: Warcraft 3 fans who think they are Arthas. They tend to do middling to pretty decent DPS with some outliers. Probably because frost is pretty easy. Blood DK tanks always seem really good because they have 3 buttons that make them invincible. Especially in Legion.
Hunter: 12 year olds with no situational awareness. 60 year olds with no situational awareness. Or girls who are weirdly good at the game, but sometimes have no situational awareness.
Rogue: For some reason most rogue players I get in my groups tend to do damage from middling/decent to absolutely awful. I have had 20 rogues who have done less damage than an undergeared healer. I don’t know why. In PVP, they are scary because they have the most trolling potential of any class. Low health after a duel? They 1shot you and vanish. The class for trolls and psychopaths. If 4chan was a class.
Priest: Holy priests tend to do middling to decent healing. Disc priests tend to be like holy paladins: either really bad or amazing. Holy is always -okay-. Shadow priests are an enigma and I have no idea who plays them and/or why. The personality type of a shadow priest freaks me out and I don’t like them but I invite them because sometimes they do like a really high amount of damage.
Shaman: Old dads. I don’t know why so many old dads play shaman, but old dads love shamans. Especially goblin shamans. They are probably healing their wife who is a blood elf or zandalari troll paladin. DPS is middling to high. That being said, due to them being old dads, they often have situational awareness as bad if not worse than hunters. If you see someone stand in fire for 3 seconds, and then run into a frontal cleave that instantly kills them, it is probably a shaman.
Mage: Really angry and spiteful, or really calm and chill. They will either call you a slur and then try to votekick you for a small mistake, or defend you like a knight in shining armor when you get treated unfairly. There is no inbetween. Frost mages are consistently -okay- damage wise. Fire mages players are always absolutely spectacular or just clearly have no idea what they are doing. Also, they have a complex and will complain if one of their specs isn’t in the top 3. Also, only 2 people play arcane. If you are reading this and say you main arcane you are lying.
Warlock: 12 year olds or single college students. Also complain if one of their specs is not ranked as top 3 dps. People tolerate them because they have cookies, summons, and a brez (they never use the brez though) even if they are terrible, so they are a good pick if you are a new player. Affliction locks just hide in a corner during PVP and dot people up to watch them slowly wither away. Destro locks hide in PVP and farm soul shards so they can 100-0 someone with soul fire and 3 chaos bolts in a row.
Monk: The tanks were always either really amazing or really terrible until they made the spec a lot easier in Shadowlands. Now you just kinda spin and can’t really unless you mess up. So monk tanks tend to be pretty average, not the safest bet, but pretty safe. Monk DPS scare me. I joked about storm earth and fire once and got 3 death threats from different monks in the raid, but they always do pretty good damage in my groups even if rankings wise they are bottom damage. Monk healers suck. Never invite them to anything. Every monk healer I have ever invited has caused a wipe and then been the first to leave. Booo.
Druid: Druid players are weird. They are truly a class played by literally everyone. Pretty much every archetype of player I have mentioned so far might also play a druid. 12 year olds and 60 year old dads will probably play a Guardian druid because it is the easiest tank in the game. They will also always, without fail, wait for 5-10 seconds after every pull for no discernible reason. Just long enough for hot streak procs to wear off, which really annoys firemages. Resto druids tend to be girls. Also, they tend to be really good at the game. Feral druids are always bad, even if the dps potential of the spec is high in the specific patch you encounter them in. IDK why. Maybe it’s really hard or something, but they suck. Boomkins are the opposite. They are always the top ranking class DPS wise, and the top DPS in your group, but at the same time they complain on the forums about how awful their spec is. Stop whining boomies.
Demon Hunter: It is kind of too early to tell. Mostly semi-casual players who want pretty good damage output and tanking potential without sinking too much time into learning the class. Even the animations are pretty self explanatory so just by looking at them you can tell what they are doing. Probably one of the best classes visually in the entire game. Oh, also this is THE weeb class. If you see a demon hunter main they probably are watching tokyo ghoul on a second monitor while they play, but it’s okay because they only have like 4-5 buttons that they need to press regularly. Demon hunter players, like warrior players, are always inexplicably top damage, and actually pretty alright at keeping up with mechanics… Weirdly.
Alright I’m done.
