Can i, for example, take my DK into Antorus and hsve thr warrior gear handed to me in order for it to unlock on my warrior?

You could certainly get the warrior lookalike gear (and the paladin lookalike gear), but you couldn’t unlock warrior and paladin specific tier pieces.
