I feel like a damn transformer with that druid set I’ll make a pvp macro Auto Bots Roll out.
I honestly don’t give a hoot what they look like since, you know, transmog is a thing. I’m more concerned about what the tier sets actually DO. I like the concept of tier sets, but I dislike these situations:
-
where the set is SO good you’re a scrub for not having them (hello RNG my old friend)
-
where the set is so terrible you actually DON’T want them and then tier gear feels like a waste
-
where it takes you 3 months of having the content on farm before you actually get your set bonus
Unfortunately, the mechanics of the sets are unknown at this time.
I agree that color-wise they really could have done more with it and in terms of making each set distinct visually, the palette choice makes it hard to pick out who is whom.
On the flip side, I definitely also remember tier sets that looked garbage well before this (and remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder anyway–I personally was embarrassed to wear the Power Ranger pally tier set. Yeah, I said it. Come at me.)
I kind of find it disappointing that people felt the shard set didn’t work the way they’d hoped. I liked being able to have some semblance of choice between which gear to put a shard in and which shards to use (if you happened to have more than 3 slots). The upgradeability of the shards was nice too, since the effect of the shards was more important than the raw stats of the shards, much like how current legendaries work.
People like you will defend anything Blizzard does. If you’re happy with getting lazy content and terrible designed gear more power to you. Enjoy the dying game.
Exactly for the zone not for the clase same pattern that started with BFA Uldir with armor type sets, check Argus tier sets and tell me for Druid, Shaman what’s similar to the Argus raid or zone? Tier Sets were related to the clase, as warlock you can’t identify your new set for 9.2 by just looking at the video from devs.
This is definitely not a new argument, but if you are this unhappy, perhaps you should consider a break. Games are supposed to be enjoyable.
I literally just resubbed for the mage tower. Once I’m done with that I’ll be gone again. I think I’ve been subbed for maybe 3 months in SL. This game has really fallen from grace.
Do we know if these are the mythic sets or not?
Rogue set looks freaking sexy I want that helmet like now
I do NOT mean this sarcastically–it’s unfortunate that you’re not enjoying yourself. Make the most out of the Mage Tower then and enjoy the bits you do like. Since you’re this passionate about the way the game has gone, I hope that eventually you find your way back to it as you clearly cared at one point.
Take care.
I don’t entirely agree with you when it comes to caring about visuals and transmogs. I want the feeling of getting a new look that I enjoy from a new raid. It’s a goal to work towards and a just reward for the experience of defeating bosses.
But hey, I love how polite and logical you’ve been in these posts, so kudos to that!
Look, here’s the deal. I’m seeing alot of “well the class sets before we’re bad why can’t you accept these will be bad” and “they fit the zone so why are you complaining?”
These are supposed to be CLASS sets. One should be able to identify the CLASS when looking at them.
That’s the primary argument here. Blizz clearly missed the mark. They look washed out, all have the same colors and glow, they all have the same basic form with very little variance between the sets.
Some like one or two, but 99% of the community dislikes them all as a class sets.
There’s not even an argument to be had here. The evidence is clear as day. These new “class sets” are just the armor specific sets with a new name.
Compare the legion tier sets to these new ones side by side and it’s easy to see why a lot of people are complaining.
Thanks for the kind words.
Wow was the only game I played for around 8 years. I honestly didn’t want to play anything else. Honestly my sheer disdain for what wow has become started in WoD when they took away flying. To me they took away player freedom in order to subject the players to the dev’s “vision”. Legion had some high points but BFA was just awful and somehow SL is even worse.
I don’t hope for this but this may be the end of my time playing wow. It’s hard walking away from something that’s been a part of my life for 15 years. I just can’t support this current design philosophy.
People keep saying this and I feel weird for not liking my tier set’s aesthetic. Really dig Rogue, Shaman, and Druid though. I think the Shaman one will look especially good on Orcs and Dwarves.
I agree.
It’s hard to continue playing when the game’s different designs are just so bad. I play bc of my wow friends and my wifflez thinks I need adult interaction, lol.
But when it comes to the game itself, it’s extremely disappointing.
I kind of like the look for warlock, but I can see how other non-elf/humans would not.
I wish I could trade you! My pally set is so underwhelming.
I agree with you there lol, I thought it was the priest set tbh
yup gear looks became a joke when bfa rolled around and nothing changed. i can only imagine who designs gear now a senior? heck they could do better than this stuff.
I agree. It’s extremely apparent that blizz very little time on these sets. Plus, they seem to have forgotten what “class identity” means.
