Class restrictions lifted!

Am i seeing this right or are all class restricted transmogs opening up?

Can i FINALLY do a fungus themed monk/dh with the druid only fungus shoulders?

Can i finally use any mail hunter set on my shaman and vs versa?

This is an amazing change if it is what i think it means but no ones talking on the forums about it?

Explain?

And no, I don’t think what you’re seeing is what is actually happening, unless I missed something?

I think you are seeing class only mogs can be “learned” buy any class but not used. So you loot Shaman gear on a Warrior, the Warrior can add it to the collection, but not actually mog it.

I could be wrong though.

I doubt this, where did you see this?

The class sets for the trading post.

That’s it.

lmao.

Ya sucks its just for the vendor stuff. Im maining my ol shaman so its fine i have most of the cooler mogs for mail anyways.

But the fungus look on leather with the new mushroom cap works really well with two druid only leather shoulders like the one in wod and one in cata.

Druids have some awesome mogs that u never get to see them in so when i see one i always see if i can recreate it on a dh or monk.

As a person who hosts games for DnD lemme tell you not every player properly weilds character creation powers.

The memification of this game would be instant.

Ya but this ones pretty small its not like cloths can transmog plate and stuff its still within itd armor type. We already have non class specific pieces that can make a priest look like a warlock and vs versa.

All it would really do is open up transmog options for classes added later on like dhs, monks, and evokers.

More so you can unlock the mog on any toon, but you can’t use it.

Like something drops on your mage only your war can use. Previously you’d just vendor it. Now you unlock the appearance.

I just want to get those sweet, sweet evoker shoulders. I’m aware I can, but I don’t have 500k to spend on them. The clawfang ones, you know the ones. You’re mail and you’re into mog. You must know.

Okay real talk though: give us lots and lots of more non class restricted sets. They’re already moving in that direction and we got a lot more this expansion, please keep it up Blizzard.

It’s nice to feel like I’m not restricted by my class’ armor type in how I wanna look. Sometimes I don’t even want to play a class because I’m like “ugh mail, all their transmog options kinda suck”.

that would be awful. there already is very little class identity and now people want to see warlocks in pally t2

I hope not.

It’s a class-based RPG where your gear is determined by your class… it should matter.

It really feels like these ppl want an adventure game and not an RPG. The roleplaying aspect is irrelevant to anyone who tries to champion for less class identity.

Am I the only one who thinks that at some point blizzard added too many cosmetic options?

Here’s what it says:

It looks like it’s just for those Trading Post sets.

I like a good mixture of both. I like having the option for class identity, and I like not having to only be pigeon holed into class identity if I’m not personally a fan of it but still like playing the class.

YES!
I was running molten core on a priest and got rogue and warlock toer sets added to my collection (you couldn’t do that).
And according to a tweet from Icy Veins class-specific sets have had their restriction lifted, so all mail wearers can wear Hunter sets now (cool!).
Also, I don’t know why nobody is talking about it on the forums, and I couldn’t find any patch notes or blue post about it, that’s huge for xmog collectors.

Not entirey true.

Because it’s not as widespread as you think.

Hunter’s cannot wear all Shaman only gear.

This change iirc is for a very small collection of items.

:point_up_2: as far as I know only MoP Remix and trading post class “sets” (the three pieces) and maybe some white trash mogs are now cross class in the armor type or entirely classless to mog now… everything else, especially what you’d really want to mog, is still class/armor type locked. Also the more recent tier sets for this tier I think?

It’s a start, but I don’t think we’re going to see full transmog restrictions released for another expansion or so.
