Blizzard needs to do a better job of representing classes in their story telling. For a while now seems like there are only four classes represented as hero’s in Wow’s story telling.
They can’t even understand the concept of faction representation, class representation is far beyond their understanding.
There’s not enough main characters in the lore to support all the classes, I think.
Anduin covers 2 - Priest, and then Warrior… And then maybe Priest again.
Sylvanas - Dark ranger/Hunter, obviously
Wrathion and various other dragons - Evoker
Malfurian - Druid (a whiney druid lol)
Tyrande - Hunter… sort of?
Varian - Warrior
Thrall - Shaman
Prophet Velen - Priest, specifically Oracle hero talent tree
Garrosh - Warrior
Mathias Shaw - Rogue
Lothar - Paladin
Young Arthas - Paladin
Old Arthas - DK
Illidan - DH
Jaina - Mage
Gazlowe - Tinker (plz blizz lol)
That’s all I can think of right now
Thats over 21 years of story telling, right now think the only classes in the spot light are mages, hunter, and paladins.
The present story telling only has so much “bandwidth” of character storytelling, though.
Legion showed us definitively which classes needed more representation. Mages were recruiting big names like Kalecgos while warlock had a bunch of no-names made up for the order.
And instead of using that data to realize we needed more warlock representation, they totally ignored and went on building up the same four classes.
at least locks had the coolest class hall
rogues close second
