Class/race gripes (Highmountain Tauren)

Lately I’ve been thinking of a few of the races that don’t seem to make sense as far as the classes they cannot be.

Why can’t HM Tauren be Priests? I understand peoples’ reasoning for why Paladins would not make sense for them, but it seems to me like being Priests would make sense considering that in many cultures Priests act like Shaman.

It would make sense for HM Tauren to be Priests compared to, you know, MONKS that do spinning kicks and use ornate statues- both of which are more pandaren-like than Tauren.

I feel like the argument is gonna be “but they don’t follow light/shadow, and the Sun Priests are limited to Thunderbluff Tauren.” Well, sure, but outside of game mechanics, there are Priests for almost every single racial belief system. To me it seems weird that Trolls and Maghar Orcs can both be Priests but not HM Tauren, as in both of those races Priests would resemble Shaman.

Some lorehead said the other day it has something to do with HMT not having sunwalkers or something.

Here is another question, why can’t HMT be warlocks? Cause I’m pretty sure I have seen some “fel” magic using HMT NPCs in highmountain.

You would be surprised by how many Tauren characteristics come from silly stuff.

I mean: Did you know that the only reason why Tauren Hunters start the game wielding guns instead of bows is because of the “Cows with Guns” song?

My biggest gripe is that I can’t seem to find a good mog for my HMT while leveling. This was the best that I could do for plate…:disappointed_relieved:

My main gripe is that Highmountain Tauren should have been a new skin for existing Tauren players to have a choice of using in the character creation screen.

Same goes with the Lightforged Draenei being a skin for normal Draenei.

Instead we could have had Ogres for Horde and Vrykul for Alliance.

What about why LFD can’t be shaman? Or why Zandalari can’t be Warlocks. Or why we couldn’t have an optional quest for blood elf DKs and DHs to race/faction change into a void elf DK/DH?

Because they joined the Legion and thus became fodder for the murdertrain of adventurers.

Man both of those would be BA. I could finally have my warlock Ogre and I’d quickly race change my warrior into a Vrykul.

Come on Blizz! If you won’t give us Morning Glory Mooses, give us two more “big” races!

You only need to complete legion quests in highmountain to see - there’s no traces of priests light there. Not even something offscreen. No reason to exist

Even mh orc priests have ties to the light through lightbound, but HM taurens not really

I also wonder why Lightforged can’t be Monks. “They weren’t in Pandaria”, neither Nightborne, Highmountain, didn’t saw any Dark Iron and Draenor Ma’ghar either, neither Kul’Tirans, and Zandalari suddenly decided that Monks are ok even after everything that happened in MoP.

Worgen and Goblins are even worse because they actually went to Pandaria and were playable even before MoP. Hopefully Blizzard give Worgen and Goblin Monks with the model updates.

As the other person said, they were enemies. More specifically, they were a tribe that drank the green and murdered an ambassador and tried to kill the PC. They are basically wiped out by us and presumably Highmountain.
