Every expansion each class should have its own epic quest chain. Going thru issues revolving around their “classes order/group” and the current story.
And when its completed there is a reward that you can show off that you completed that epic long quest chain for your class. (Title, tmog, toy, mount, tabard, etc.)
This quest chain should be open world only, no dungeons or raids involved.
This quest chain also can only be done once hitting max level of current content.
This quest chain also has ZERO rep/renown grind.

Fragmenting the story into 13 parts, and only letting me play 1 part per character just makes the story harder to understand.
Legion did this. I think it’s generally considered a success, and I did enjoy playing my quests at the time. But I also missed out on major events and the only heard about them later in YouTube videos and wiki articles.
Class-specific rewards or content that changes depending on your class are both great. They just shouldn’t be parts of the story.
It’s already bad enough that I have to make an Evoker just to learn who Kurog Grimtotem is and see how Raszageth’s story starts.
They should be trying to make the story easier to follow for everyone.

I think the class halls should always be relevant. Unlike the garrisons they’re right here under our noses and going to waste. They don’t need to be a big part of the game, but they shouldn’t just be abandoned either.

I think having a small quest line would be ok. Just not an overarching main story.
Maybe a trinket or weapon you unlock further attributes to at the “blue” ilevel for each tier.
Or just a xmog.
Might not hurt to cluster “like” classes for the sake of narrative cohesion.
Paladins, Priests, DKs
Lock and Demon Hunter
Druid, Hunter, and Monk (Pandaren Celestials are nature gods right?)
Warrior, Rogue
Shaman and Mage
You get the idea.
I think it’s a shame that other classes haven’t had a “Green Fire” moment.
It doesn’t have to be every class, every expansion. But the Green Fire quest and fight was all consuming for me at the time, and it’s just too bad that other classes haven’t been able to get a similar experience.
Perhaps the Mage Tower is similar, but it doesn’t feel that way to me. Maybe it’s presentation, maybe it’s expectations. But Green Fire as a Warlock was really fun at the time, despite the frustrations of me sucking at it.

All i read was cry cry cry, and im honestly not trying to be mean.
Right legion did this with success.
Everyone has alts and if you dont then oh well, other class story wont change what you need to know. What to see theirs go to youtube and watch it
If you cant follow the story idk what to tell you, you dont just try to make the game dumber just cause of dumb people.
They story is everywhere. One bad thing this xpac is continuing the main story after renown. But a side class story, only a class toon “needs” to see it. And its fun to go see every other classes rather thru play or youtube
Also think of these as covenant story quest for the covenant mog… simple as that.
