Class pride, tell us why your favorite class is your jam

My games before WoW were the Warcraft series, Diablo and any shooter from Id Software.

I had to be a Tauren Warrior when I realized it is an option. That is my favorite unit in Warcraft III if you play the Orc faction.

I think the ability that sold me was Charge learned at level 4. I can’t think of another Warrior ability in 15 years of this game that is as fun to press as Charge.

The class fantasy of being a massive Tauren (I didn’t realize how much bigger we were until I saw everyone else in the Barrens lol) and smashing stuff with weapons was just a race and class combination made for me.

What is yours, what sucked you in and do you want to play it again in Classic?

Paladin

I’ve always loved their aesthetic and their heroic bearing. I love the whole noble warrior of light fighting alone against the darkness shtick. I love banishing evil and purging the wicked.

Alas, my guild will be rolling Horde so I’ll be a Warlock. Because for me, opposites attract and Warlock is pretty much the polar opposite of Paladin.

Rogue

Always loved being able to escape a fight gone awry, and I may or may not love being a thorn in the side of the enemy faction. May even make a Gnomish rogue, for grins and giggles come Classic.

Mage.

Every game I’ve ever played I loved being a glass cannon. Something about being able to take one hit, a second would kill me, but having unrivaled damage output at my fingertips. Balancing the boom, oom, and OH CRAP I’M GONNA DIE! was insanely fun. In TBC I’d do my maintain rotation, floating one crit under pull agro, until the RL said “Celphi kill it” and then I blow it up…

Can’t wait to do it again! PHENOMINAL FIRE POWER… itty bitty hp bar

Mage does look super fun.

Had a mage in my guild in Vanilla and BC that loved to duel me. I think he just liked to see me waddle towards him while he blew me up. It was something to do while waiting for people to finish summons :slight_smile:

YES! and now I have to watch that series again, it’s been a while…

They just recently came out with the English Dub for S1. And it’s amazing, I actually like it more than the Japanese version
