Trying to decide which class to level as an Alt.
I want to play a class that has the greatest potential to solo contents, like WO in Mara and some of the lower level raid bosses, and I am considering leveling a Hunter or Warlock.
Which class do u think is better in terms of soloin ability. Hunter has obviously been a really strong solo class, but Meta lock has become very strong is solo too.
I have a lock too and i can say for a fact that warlocks have an infinitely easier time to solo content farm (besides solo dungeon leveling). Youll have no problem solo farming since you have a lot of sustain with master channeler/haunt/cc abilities. All the while you have good periodic damage with DoTs.
The only issue though would be farming mobs multiple levels above you since your spells will get resisted compared to hunters whom dont have that issue. If its the same level or yellow to you, locks is way easier.
Hunters are better at soloing higher level stuff while Warlocks are better at soloing same level stuff.

out of hunter or warlock I would go hunter.
Hunter can kill infinite elite raid mobs AoEing them all down and has 2/5 of the highest DPS specs, Warlock isn’t the choice
Mage can do the same.
Not 5-10 levels higher.

Hunters are the kings of solo
Mages are aoe farming the same packs that person was referring to.
Too bad solo content doesn’t progress your characters power level, so that distinction is completely worthless.
I don’t know, being able to solo Princess/Dino for Wild Offerings brings with it an ability to increase your power level. Just have to get lucky on cards

Oh boy one item in the current phase that every class that wants it can easily solo farm. You totally got me dude, it will absolutely be used over Naxx items for sure!
Why would anyone waste their time farming naxx gear when TBC is right around the corner?

Based on ur comments, it seems that Meta Lock is overall a better choice. I have also watched some videos on how Meta Lock farms lower level contents and it looks pretty strong.
Hunters have Fein Death though.

Yea but… dire maul farm is much more lucrative… you are thinking of the now which is important but not the big picture. Back in 2005 I seen a hunter solo a BWL boss, Firemaw? Iirc. You looking at 2024 I’m in 2034.
