Just a thought… certain classes get pets that can do dps or tank etc. Warlocks can in all specs. Hunters can in all specs. Mage in frost and a baby dps pet in arcane…But what if all classes had this…Like it would be cool if a pally had a valkyrie as a pet or fire elemental for fire mage just as a example…so i ask everyone for your class that has no pet what would you like blizzard to add to your class as a pet that you could have in game questing and so forth.
it would kinda dilute the identity of pet classes if everybody had combat pets imho

They kind of did that with the champions you can bring w/ you. Never used it in Warlords but tried it in Legion.
Wasn’t bad but kept forgetting he was there and couldn’t figure out why this stupid Draenai kept following me around and shouting silly things.

It would not only be rather difficult coming up with a spec themed pet without stealing from others, but not all classes need a pet. And thats fine.
Only if it was completely optional. That is I should not lose any DPS/healing/threat if I choose not to use a pet. I am not a personal fan of pets. They always get in the way, aggro crap that doesn’t need to be aggroed, and are just an annoyance.

Yeah no thanks. I do play those classes, but adding pets to classes that don’t have them would homogenize them. We just started to get back some of the class individuality recently, and i really don’t want to go back.
back in the day we had fast attack pets that you camped for days so we could be unique. i miss those days
I don’t think everybody needs a pet.but I think healers could use one. that way they could still level in their chosen spec. maybe make the pets damage increase by amount of over healing done or something like that.
Yes more homogenization of class fantasy is needed to complete the destruction of the ongoing player exodus from WoW
At this point in legion there were almost 15 million level 110’s in America … BFA has less than 3 million in America … assume 3-4 chars at max level on each account … wow player base for first time just went under 1 million in America … there are so many dead servers and auction houses …

There is a reason the stock has crashed 40% lately … the suits vision for the game at activision does not match the player vision
Any devs that are gamers at heart are stuck in the middle of big business and creating FUN engaging content … becuase I think the suits at activision think if they can turn WoW into an Asian style carrot dangling treadmill that never really has a BIS or complete character that they will make more money … I can assure them they are wrong in America and Europe … but maybe they seek to become the Asian giant of MMO’s while leaving western MMO fans in the dust … but what do,I know about running a business lol I’m probably wrong …/shrug
What blizzard needs to do is look at the game back when they had 12 million + subs and just look at what us as players liked and improve on that. Instead they change everything in game thats not broken nerf everything that they thought was OP and kill this game i love since 2004.
