With blizzard saying that they are considering removing the class restrictions on artifact weapons, any chance that the mount restrictions will also be relaxed? I would use the damn thing more often if I could just hop on red one.

yeah same here with the shaman ones. don’t think i’ve ever used the resto one (or even have it unlocked idk)…
I doubt it simply because even though there are three mounts only one shows on your mount collection. It changes based on your spec but unlike the Alliance mounts if you are Horde or vise versa even though you can not use them they are visible on your collection. This is not true for the class mounts. One mount that changes based on spec, it did not add three to your collection total when obtained.
Sounds like OP needs to man up and play Blood.

It kind if bugged me that the alternate colors on some of the mounts were spec specific rather than additional mounts while on classes like paladins and rogues they were different mounts.

I really like having class specific mounts. I was a lock/pally in vanilla, and these were some of the things that specifically drew me in to those classes. Loved that all classes finally had their own.
At the same time, there are some I’ll never be able to use. How about off colors not yet in game? Ones that no longer represent the class. A pally mount in black. Or the monk tiger with void beads instead of jade…that maybe isn’t even a tiger?
That’s actually not entirely accurate. It depends on the class - warlocks and paladins can use all three of their colors as they like, for example.
they will have to add buyable ones as its a coded thing to change color per spec. But I’m sure its not a hard change and doable but if it actually happens that’s up to blizz. Then people will also complain for some classes like DH and monk that share the same mount for all specs with no colour change

I play blood every now and then but I love unholy. And it’s not green! Aqua maybe?
I was under the impression they were just opening up artifact transmogs between specs, not outright removing class restrictions?
pretty sure the class mounts are not locked by spec. the different color variations can be purchased from a vendor in the legion class order hall
Death Knights, Shamans, Priests, Warriors, and Mages are all spec locked and can only use the mount tied to their spec they are using. If a Death Knight is in the blood spec they will use the red dragon and are unable to use the green or blue. If they are in the frost spec then they have to use the blue dragon and cannot use the others.
Depends on the class. Rogue, warlock, paladin and hunter get to buy different colors and can use all no matter the spec. Dk, warrior, shaman, priest and mage are spec specific and druid, monk and dh are class specific with no other variant

No reason they couldnt put an npc in class hall that could toggle your class mount to your preference.
Considering other classes like Pally can buy and use all the colors, it never made sense how restricted it was for some other classes. It’s not like the world will break if I get to ride around on the other proto-drake recolors.
