So what’s your guys main for The War Within? I’m having a hard time deciding on my Warlock and Hunter, I get so far into the story then switch toons and catch up basically leveling both at the same time.
I am maining Unholy DK but I am having trouble trying to decide on an alt.
I might go with Fury Warrior.
Ele/Resto, Balance/Resto, Shadow/Disc. As always. I can’t play things with only one role, my ADHD gets me bored and disinterested. I need to be able to switch from one role to another day to day, sometimes hour to hour. So it’s always hybrid casters.
In terms of viability? Aug Evoker, Arcane Mage, Blood/Frost DK will all have groups all expansion no problem. Resto druid used to be the de-facto most demanded healer, but I think the tide is turning on that. I’m seeing a LOT of demand for Holy Paladins. You can’t go wrong with any of those.
Between Warlock and Hunter? Warlock. They almost always have a competitive spec. Demonology got some great hero talents and is shaping up to be extremely competitive in both raid and Mythic+
Disc priest, as it has been since WoD. Either oracle or voidweaver, whichever feels the best in mythic+.
As for alt, I’m undecided between blood dk and prot warrior. Both feel pretty good, especially san’layn and colossus, respectively, but I think prot is winning me over; if anything, for the higher mitigation and mobility.
Playing around with all classes and the different hero class builds, will determine what I main based on what I find most fun.
