does blizzard check the dk forum for recommendations? its got lots of great ideas, but we just get nerfed every patch since wotlk

They don’t check the class forums for anything at all… the class forums exist purely for us players… they are mean to let us all discuss things related to the class such as builds and lore and whatever fun things we may think of… but no… Blizzard doesn’t read them… they barely read anything on the forums as is…

I thought the San’layn nerf was a bit excess but otherwise mostly ok with how DK is, still a force to be reckoned with.

no, and nor should they. frnakly 90% of each class forums are just bad ideas that shouldnt be heeded.
frankly the only thing they should read are in the ptr forums and thats only at the start, before its overran by the same slop like “remove breath fdk” or “make unholy a petless spec”

Apart from the customer/tech support forums I don’t think Blizz reads much else of the forums. Even if they did read the class forums I don’t think the devs in charge of class balancing are actually allowed to take any player feedback on changes into consideration. Way back when SWG was live the class designers were actually pretty active on there and Creature Handler was in rough shape. One player posted one of the most well thought out detailed analysis I’ve honestly ever seen to date for a class. He listed out which talents could be flipped around in the trees, how much it’d change stuff number wise, all that. He straight up nailed it and it would have put the class in a much better spot without making it overpowered. The class designer did exactly zero of those changes. He fiddled with a few things, made the class marginally better but not by much. The forums straight shredded him over it. I honestly think he’d have been more than happy to do the proposed changes but was straight up told not to. I’d imagine it’s about the same with Blizz. They don’t want people going around saying “Blizz needs players to do their jobs for them” kinda thing.
i found the secret to forcing a blizzard employee to read anything on these forums is to either bring up body type 1 and 2 or to type out Taiwan somewhere in the thread.

Class forums are pretty dead. The class discords are way busier and more involved. If I were a dev interested in feedback, that’s where I would lurk.
(Trueshot Lodge, Ravenholdt, etc.)

The forum is just for entertainment, blizzard checks the forum only when people are complaining about the company in order to ban them.

I don’t think they look at the class forums at all.
I would love blue skin tones for all my death knights though.
To be fair.
Most posts on the class forums are from people who dont know what they are talking about.
