I have been trying to make this decision for the past few days, and now with dual spec its made it difficult for me to choose. My friend who will be playing with me is rolling warrior (for the 4th time) and is learning to tank this time around, so I want to play a healer to make grouping ezpz.
On one hand, I can finally go Ally for once and roll dwarf to enjoy the much better capital cities and have a different leveling experience than I’m used to since I always roll Horde. Priest has more complexity in raids, is the best healer in the game, Shadow is great in PvP, and their BiS gear always looks awesome.
On the other hand, I can hear the Chain Lightning in the back of my mind… Calling to me. I quite enjoy leveling as enhance shaman as well, and with my warrior friend getting Windfury we will absolutely crush. And though healing as Shaman can be boring it isn’t as demanding to learn as priests are with spell rankings and playing correctly… But I have to wear that damn dress for almost the entirety of classic.
I just don’t know what to do and its been torturing me since the anouncement. Please give me some direction to go in.
Shaman will be more fun. Priest leveling is boring.
Warriors will love you as a Shaman. Pocket healing with WF is always fun. You will also be loved in all Dungeons for it too.
Leveling as Shaman is a little more engaging than a Priest.
Priest dual spec option is probably a bit stronger given Spriest capability.
Priest bubbling a Warrior is a net loss so pocket healing them is a lot worse for the most part.
TLDR Can never go wrong with a Shaman if you want to make 70% of the people you play with (warriors) happy.
Wait… your rolling Ally, answers your own question. Unless your talking about TBC afterwards.
That’s part of the question. It’s either be priest and roll Ally, or be shaman and roll Horde. I usually roll Horde so I’m trying to find reasons to go priest, but shaman sounds like too much fun to pass up.
My first main, ever, was an Elemental Shaman. I enjoyed every bit of it. I then re-rolled to a priest, and have been a priest all way up to TWW (Now, I main a DK as I grew sick of priest).
Personally? Go priest. Reason? You get to experiment with the alliance. Buuuut… naw, go shaman and toss your friend that Windfury. WoW is about the community. Since you’re bringing a friend? Go the Shaman route. Then again, a pocket-priest works wonders for warriors.
Not going to lie? Either works. Flip a coin, if you have to. If you regret the outcome of the coin flip? Then, defy the coin and play the class that you want to play.
Both are really fun, I could go either way. Priests are my personal fav… raid healer and part-time face melter
